It is a long fill error. It flashes when the machine control board detected no change in the water level or the water level is not reached in a certain period of time during the fill cycle. Water is probably not entering the tub due to the water inlet valve not functioning or water enters the tub but not properly due to clogged fill hose screens.
Press the Pause/Cancel button to clear the error on the display. Remove the fill hoses from the water inlet valve assembly at the back of the machine and check the screens. Clean the screens and replace it if necessary. Make sure that the water supply valve is open and water is present.
Put the machine in standby mode (only the Clothes Clean indicator is on) and activate the Manual Diagnostic Test Mode to check the operation of the water inlet valve.
Check the drain hose for siphoning during the fill cycle. Water will be siphoned if the drain system is not properly installed. Please indicate the drain system used for proper installation guide.
Checking and Replacing the Water Inlet Valve Assembly (Part #W10059320 or 8577407)Disconnect the machine from the power outlet.
Turn off the water supply and remove the fill hoses from the water inlet valve assembly.
Remove the 3 screws holding the console to the back of the machine.
Lift the console off the cabinet and disconnect the user interface wiring harness from the machine control board.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the valve solenoid terminals and the thermistor.
Tape the lid closed and use a putty knife blade to press and unlock the two front top locks about 6-1/2" from the outside edge of the washer.
Lift the cabinet top and loosen the clamps holding the hoses to the valve assembly to remove the hoses.
Lower the cabinet and remove the power cord from the valve assembly.
Remove the 2 screws holding the valve assembly to the cabinet top and remove the valve assembly from the machine.
Reverse the steps above in installing the new valve assembly.
Measure the resistance of the valve solenoids using a multimeter. The resistance should read between 790-840 ohms. Replace the valve assembly if at least one of the solenoids resistance reads open or outside the given range.
The next thing to check is the pressure hose connection to the machine control board. The pressure transducer in the machine control board will not work if the pressure hose is dislodged or kinked and result in the long fill error. Replace the machine control board if no problem is found in all of the components tested above.
Replacing the Machine Control BoardWith the console removed, disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the machine control board.
Pull the pressure hose off the fitting on the machine control board.
Remove the mounting screw and lift the front of the control board.
Slide it out from under the clips at the back and remove it from the machine.
Install the new control board in reverse of the steps above.
