Dont' know how to connect my printer to computer so it will scan?

The Lexmark X2670 printer does not have the capability of scanning photos directly to Facebook. However, you can scan your photos to your computer and save the scanned file. Then post the saved file to your Facebook account.

1. Open the top cover, and then load an original document facedown on the scanner glass.
2. Close the top cover to avoid dark edges on the scanned image.
3. Make sure that the printer is connected to a computer, and that both the printer and the computer are on.
4. From the printer control panel, press the Scan button.
5. Follow the instructions on the computer screen.

After saving the file, open your Facebook account and post your saved photos.

Using the printer operator panel to scan:

well I have a HP deskjet 2050 print scan copy, printer but for some reason instead of scanning a paper and sending to my computer, it just prints it out. I dont know how to make it work! Please help!

1. Check the connections between the two machines.
   
2. Lift the printer's document lid. Examine the scanning surface and the underside of the lid for dust and fingerprints.
3. Put the document you wish to scan face-down on the glass. Use the alignment markers to help you square up the object. These are usually found on the left-hand edge of the scanning area.
4. Close the printer's document lid slowly so the document does not shift position.
5. Select a scan resolution. The higher the dpi (dots per inch) count, the sharper and more detailed the image.
6. Push the scan button. You may have to do this on the printer itself or on your computer.
7. Check the preview of your scan on your computer. Depending on your all-in-one printer and software, you may have to prompt your computer to display the preview for you.
8. Edit the image as it appears on your computer if you want to make changes. Your scanning software might let you enlarge, resize or otherwise manipulate the final product.StepAccept the scan and save. Return the original document to a safe location.
   

Install the CD supplied with the printer
Connect the printer and the computer using supplied USB cable
Switch one the printer
Then press the SCAN button on the printer, It will automatically open a scanning software on the computer.
Then place the document or picture you want to scan and click on SCAN button on the screen.

hi,

first thing keep u r printer cd ready.Second uninstall your printer from add and remove programs and also disconect the printer from computer.Know re start your pc and install printer drivers with cd dont connect the printer untill it askes to connect. once setup asks u to connect connect the printer cable to your computer.Once the setup is finished then trie scanning from printer to pc. It will work.

This is a known issue with HP printers. Do not worry, if you get this message that the scanning software could not be found the please go to the link

Select the Operating System.
From the list select. ... HP Full Feature Software and Drivers

Then scroll down to the 3rd option......
Click on Download only >> Save the file to the desktop.
Start installation and make sure that the Printer is not connected using the USB cable to the computer.

While installing, you will get the option to connect the printer. Do not connect the printer.
Select the option "I will connect it later". Go next the installation will be complete.

After the installation is complete...leave the CD inside the computer.

Connect the computer and the printer.
It will show you the configuration window.
Wait until you see the "Start using the device" option.
Click on "Start using the device".
You should see the solution center window now.

If it is succesfull. Try scanning using the Solution center.
If it is succesfull, you can now scan using the printer as well.
