Print from memory

if you still have the paper manual it's on page 54 and 55
basically you have to press fax button, then press the menu button, then use the right or left arrows (on the side of the ok button) to select "memory reference" then press "ok", then press the arrows again to print which document in memory you want to print (usually the most recent is listed) then press "ok" again.

finally press the arrows to select "yes" to print only the first page or "no" to print the entire document and press the ok button one last time. it should print.

if you are still receiving a "change paper size" type error, go ahead and press the fax button, then the settings button, use the arrows to select your paper size, press ok, then select media type, in this case "plain paper" and press "ok"

that should do it.

Canon PIXMA MX310 All-In-One - faxes storing instead of printing

When the machine is in one of the following situations, the fax is automatically stored in memory.

- If ink is low or has run out while receiving a fax
- If the paper size/type setting is incorrect
- If the paper has run out while receiving a fax
- If the Output Tray is closed
- If OFF is selected for AUTO PRINT RX
- If you pressed the Stop/Reset button to cancel printing of a fax

The most likely problem is that the ink is low.

You can change the settings to still print if the ink is low by pushing the fax button and then the menu button.

Scroll over until you get to RX settings (I think it is the 6th option) and push OK.

Choose the option to Auto Print RX, and press OK.

Make sure that On is selected and even if it already is the chosen option, press OK.

When the option appears to print with no ink, select yes. This will allow the fax to print even when the ink is low.

I am using a fax machine Canon L80 and waiting to receive a fax ... it's blinking between and says "received in memory" and "check paper size" ... not sure what to do.

"Check paper size" means that the paper in the machine doesn't match the size selected in the setup.

To change the paper size:
1. Press the Function button.
2. Press the Data Registration button.
3. Press Set button.
4. Use up or down arrows until you see PRINTER SETTINGS.
5. Press Set button.
6. Use up or down arrows until you see PAPER SIZE.
7. Press Set button.
8. Use up or down arrows until you see type of paper in the paper tray (LTR, LGL, A4).
9. Press Set button.
10. Press Stop/Reset button.

Machine should now print out the fax that was received in memory.
