Hi

You'll need to replace the transmission seal. For this repair job you’ll require special tools like T20 Screwdriver and other similar tools. You can disassemble the machine by following the steps mentioned below--

1. Remove the front panel (screws on each side)
2 Remove the two 3/8 screws pointing upward. This will allow you to lift the top up.
3. Remove the agitator.
4. Remove the spanner nut (requires tool and its left hand thread).
5. Remove the top off the outer tub (some snap off and some have a clamp all the way around the tub)
6. Remove inter tub.
7. Remove the set screws in the mounting stem (the treaded stem that the spanner nut was on).
8. Now with the same tool remove the mounting stem.
9. The outer tub is mounted to three legs. Remove the bolts that hold it on and remove the hoses from the tub. Once it is done remove the outer tub.
10. Remove the rubber boot.
11. Prop the tub up on something so that you won’t damage the stem that the drain hose connects to and step on the seal to push it out.
12. Turn the tub back over and install the new one the same way (may want to lube it with a small amount of soap).
13. On the transmission there is a metal sleeve where the tub sits, remove it. Now reinstall the new sleeve.
14. Reassemble the washer replacing the seal, boot, tub bearing, mounting stem and spanner nut.

This may help you--

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help. My espresso machine Coban from Alessi was leaking. I removed the bottom panel and found out that water tube has piped out of the boiler. Placing it back simply...

The right sized spring-clamp could keep the tube connected.. a wire around the tube pulled tightly to one of the blue motor mounts might also keep it from pulling loose.

Water intake won't shut off, door popped open, water all over the place.

Thank you for your post, Norma!

I see that the water valve would not shut off inside of your Frigidaire washer and caused the door to open then leak on your floor. This could be an issue with your water valve, control panel, or door latch. The door should not open when in operation. I would recommend contacting your manufacturer for further assistance for your washer. -Matt

Why is water leaking from bottom of double stack fridgidaire washer/dryer combo?

Thank you for your post, friend!

From the information you have provided your Frigidaire laundry center is leaking water from the bottom after a day or so. It sounds like you have a slow leak and this could be in your drain line, drain pump, or gasket. I would advise you to review your gasket and drain hose to make sure there is no visible crack or wear that water could be leaking out of. If you do not see any apparent leaks it could be an issue internally and this is not a simply DIY job. You may need to request the assistance of a professional technician for proper disassembly of your laundry center. I hope this information has been helpful. -Matt

I have a HotPoint washing machine, and it is leaking water bad. It leaks whenever the spin cycle starts, and the washing machine shakes pretty bad in that cycle. It's my ex girlfriends washing

The leaking could be coming from the exit port on the washing machine. Check the hoses leading from the washer to the drainage port in the wall. As for the shaking, check that the level adjustments at the bottom of the machine are level.

Coffee maker leaking from bottom

I have had a few of these machines leak.
I pulled off the bottom and found Mr Coffee is using low quality tubing that melts or leaks where it attaches to the heater element that boils the water. I replaced the tubes with higher quality silicone tubing that I bought directly out of China on Ebay and the problem was solved.

My washing machine keeps leaking from the bottom

There are many possible cause of a leak. If it is set to portable make sure that the faucet is off after the cycle. You also need to make sure that you are not over loading the washing machine. Please refer to owners manual how much is the capacity your washing machine can take. Drain lines is also a possibility for this leak as well as the intake inlet. If it's leaking in the center most likely the bearing have broke off and you might need a new center seal. This job requires a professional to be replaced. My advice for Avanti users is to return it and buy something else that is trusted and branded for quality and performance.
