I have line6 spider mk 2 150 watt stereo 75 watts each side. All I want to do is play my new delay foot pedal but it don't seem to want to

Line 6 Spiders are a "closed system", but you can run from your guitar to the pedal then from the pedal to the input jack on the amp where you would ordinarily plug in yourr guitar.

What should i consider to buy electric guitar for first time?

2 CHEAP guitars that are AWESOME with GREAT reviews (I have them both and have been playing for over 30 yrs) :
- Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Special Electric Guitar (average $199) Solid playing and sounding guitar.

- Epiphone Les Paul Special I P90 Electric Guitar ($129) This has P90s in it! They sound SO GOOD.

I would replace either of these ASAP if one broke.

User manual for DOD DFX9 DIGITAL DELAY GUITAR PEDAL

Can't find a manual but can still explain. Delays, chorus, flangers, and reverbs are all the same effect except the different names of them will allow you different adjustments. Chorus usually has a width control which controls pitch shifting. Flangers and delays will have a feedback control which simply means, how many times you hear the echo. On reverb units, room size means how long of echo(even though it;s short) you want. Delay is the same with much longer echo, feedback is the same as on flangers except the flangers time is very short meaning the effect is at almost the exact time resulting in feedback causing a metalic sound. I probaly just confused you but good digital delays usually have all the features and will usually do all 4 effects depending on how you set them. If you want delay, set width on 0 and adjust time and feedback. For flanging, adjust width and speed and feedback. Chorusing, adjust time, width, and speed. Reverb, adjust time, set width on 0, and feedback. I see it has a level(mixture, how much effect you hear), and a replay(feedback, how many times you hear it), and a delay knob,(how long the echo will be) The range/mode switch allows for settings of diferent time lengths and INF setting allows for infinite repeat. Hope this helps.

Line 6 how do i get it to work

Line 6 connected to AC power and LED showing power to unit. Guitar into effect input, effect output to guitar amp. Does guitar make sound through amp in bypass mode? No then check cables...yes then use foot switch to turn Line 6 effects unit on. Adjust control knobs for desired effect levels/settings.

If pedal provides no effects...off/on switch defective or internal electronics in need of repair.

My boss DD-3 makes a strange tapping sound on all modes. tapping sound gets more frequent when i turn the delay time pot to the right. its like a little tap sound getting into the circuit with the guitar...

Check your power source or battery. The sound is probably due to the internal processor recycling due to watchdog timer. If power is OK, then service will be necessary to repair the problem.

Lately, the sound/signal fades to nothing a few seconds after I begin using. I've changed batteries so thats not the issue. Dunno if its time to chuck it or now, about a year old.

The fact that signal fades is indicative of something with a time delay. The question is where the delay is. If your guitar has a preamp and this device due to wear or contamination on the plug breaks the battery connection within the guitar, the problem could be a worn jack in the guitar that MAY work with your normal cable but not this Amplug due to slight size differences. Other problems could be corrosion on the battery connections in the Amplug. Sometimes headphone cables go bad so try those in another audio source and make sure they are solid. Sometimes these thing have real weak switches and the intial actio of turning it on momentarily connects the batterry, charging the internal filter capacitors which then bleed off... so try working the switch and see if it pops back on..

I have an epiphone ea7p professional guitar. It has a matching amplifier with a special 6 prong plug for this guitar. I need a new 6 prong plug. I would like to buy the entire cord that connects from...

Amazing guitar!

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find the specialized plug you need. Being 1 out of less than 400, it is doubtful that they are still being made. However; any decent music shop will be able to repair your old plug.
