My line 6 spider III 15 watt amp isnt working

While it could be true that you're having a problem with the guitar or cable as the previouse expert suggested, to say that it can't be anything else is false. It could be a jack problem...it would only be apparant when the jack is making contact with a cable. I do think you should test it with another guitar and another cable but if that is not solving the problem then I bet it's a problem with the input jack of the amo itself or even one of the ionternal components (this is a digital amp and there are MANY components and settings that can trigger a problem like this) If the problem is not solved with a new cable/guitar configuration then it's time to take it to the shop.

Spider III amp stopped making sound

After making sure your guitar cable is OK (they often cause the problem) check the inout jack on the amp. They often get broken by yanking cable sideways.

I'm not sure which amp you're playing thru. but generally the settings you want for a clean sound. check your drive (or Gain ) knob. You want it about half way.and your Channel volume, half way. those are good starts. then let your master volume do the rest. Also, make sure, if you have active pick-ups on your guitar. check the batteries. if they're low, it can cause distortion. if this doesn't resolve, then its internal. could be anything at that point.

The volume control is not working...

Chances are the resistance element in the volume control has broken. This is COMMON if the control knob gets smashed some way.

A less common thing would be broken solder where the control is soldered to the circuit board. This would be obvious once the board is accessable.

Servicing involves removing the chassis and replacing the potentiometer.

My spider III has a broken resistor on the pcb board, number D20. I need to know the resistence numbers so I can replace it.

If the damaged component is designated D20 then it is a diode. If it was a resistor it would be marked as R20.There is a copy of the circuit available here http://music-electronics-forum.com/t3077...

Why does my Line 6 Spider 3 15w amp randomly go to flange?

Provided that you're not using any external devices, and plugging the guitar directly into the amp, this sound solely like an internal switching problem. Meaning...it will require service. Chips can get faulty like that sometimes. If you're using any external pedals, remove them and see if it happens. If not...the pedal(s) are to blame.

The amp just turned off and won't come back on. fuse blown?

If you can see where the power wiring comes into the amp there has to be a fuse in there somewhere as the fuse is designed to cutoff all power when overloaded

My line 6 amp has

Is it potentially fixable, but probably not worth it. By the time you have paid for spares and an engineer to fix it it would be more than the amp is worth. If it is within warranty then take it back to the shop. It may well have been a fault with the amp.
