Turn off PROGRAM CHANGE on the module then it will remain on whatever you set it. If you want to selectively do this on certain patches, you'll have to sit down and offer up a plan for exactly how you want it to work before I could comment further.

I am no expert about such things but the electric guitar pickups work with steel strings, wouldn't work if the strings weren't steel - the pickup is a coil of wire and the vibration of the steel string generates an output in the coil the amplifier can work with. The pickups of the acoustic guitar are presumably glorified microphones that would usually work in a similar fashion to the above, by generating an output but if they are active devices they will need a power supply in order to generate an output, something a standard amplifier input will not provide. An active device either needs an independent power supply to make the device work like a radio needs a battery or the device will create the output by varying the current flow of the voltage applied across it.

It may not have one, but some Euro manufactured older instruments with bolt on necks are marked in the body neck joint. You have to remove the neck to find it - IF it has one.

Sounds like the power supply needs repair. Often the capacitors are leaking (electronically) and they cause the equipment to not work properly.

Go for Elixir, they last 4 times longer than regular s*it I use Elixir .013-.056 Also change your pick, to a softer. 72mm pick is perfect for me! Then you have strings that holds a long long time! / Emil

Try using Isopropyl Alcohol on the keys, pour some gently around the keys that are not working. (Make sure the unit is unplugged from power first) If you can get a can of compressed air you can blow out the keys and dry them out. If not let the unit dry out overnight. Maybe put a fan near it.

If this is an identification question, we're gona need some jpgs: at least one inside the sound hole (if there is a sound hole), and look on the headstock for a serial number. Any information will help! I'd like to think you'd mention it if it were a 12 string as opposed to a six string, but the serial number will tell us how old it is. New, a 6 string goes from 3-5 hundred bucks.
