It may be failing to boot. In this case, press the reset button, then you can access the firmware upgrade page on http://192.168.1.1 on a wired ethernet port.
It will not be serving DHCP, so you will need to configure a static IP on your PC to access it.
You can download firmware from D-Link

RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router. So all settings are defaults.
Then connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then access it with following link
http://192.168.1.1
or
http://192.168.0.1
type user name as "admin' and password as "admin" or blank or "password"
then configure again as your internet service provider settings then check.

I recentley bought a dsl 2320b modem and now found out that it isn't supported with dlink anymore. There is no internet light on and the status light flashes very little. power light is red. dsl is steady...

Do you have an Internet service provider (ISP), like AT&T or Verizon (if you live in the US) ? Usually, your ISP will give you a modem/router (cable or DSL) for free when you sign up with them for Internet service.

Older XBox 360 with wireless antenna - can't connect to network - why not?

What color does your wireless adapter (xbox) turn when you power on your xbox? Green, Red, or Grey (No light)?

If it's grey(no light), try connecting the adapter into one of the USB ports in front of the console(the usb ports are behind that flap)

If it's red, it's a hardware problem and you should try and repair it.. or replace it (xbox antenna).

If it's green, then it's something to do with your network settings.

Good Luck

A problem has occurred when trying to access the internet. Please check your DSL/Cable connection and verify your internet connection settings. Wtf is this ? Firmware update doesnt helped. .

Cables connection might loosen up. Check cables that runs from the wall jack going into your modem, make sure all cables are tightly plugged in. Also, check indicator light on your device. If DSL light is RED, OFF, flashing red, flashing green. there might be trouble with your Internet provider. DSL light indicator MUST be always on STEADY GREEN. If you see that the DSL light is not on STEADY GREEN status call your Internet service provider.

I have a d-link 615 router. The world light is red. I have tried resetting the router many times but still the red light. What to do next?

The router is now acting as a switch and not a router
The Internet line from the modem should go to the Wan-Internet connector of the router. If it doesn't then the router will not show an internet connection just Local connections

If that works as you have it setup, then I would suspect the "modem" you have is also a router.
Go to http://support.dlink.com and get the correct setup information for your router, click the "products" links for the manuals and updates etc. http://support.dlink.com/products/

Globe symbol won't turn green.

I was banging my head for 2 days with about 35 different configurations and finally tried the following and it worked just fine. Also, tried connecting 3 computers and they all connected with "NO" issues. Even connected wireless with "NO" issues. Now I am at 20mb download speed...J compared to AT&T 1.5mb download speed.

This is my DLINK model -> (DIR-601 Wireless N 150 Home Router Wireless router)

1. Reset your Comcast Surfboard Cable Modem by unplugging it for 5 minutes.

2. Then reset your DLINK Router to the manufactures default settings. Then Unplug DLINK Router for 1 minute then plug it back in (Just plug your cat5 cable into port 1 and connect it to your computer) there should not be anything else plugged into the DLINK Router at the time you make the changes. Just 1 computer can be connected.

3. Went into the DLINK configuration 192.168.0.1 and changed the PPPOE setting that I was using for my AT&T Modem to Dynamic IP (DHCP). Once you make the changes save them and then unplug your DLINK Router it's off.

4. Turn on Comcast Surfboard Cable Modem and wait until all lights are on. Now plug in a cat5 cable from the Surfboard Comcast modem (NOT A CROSSOVER CABLE LIKE THE CD INDICATES) to the INTERNET port of your DLINK Router. Now turn on your DLINK router.

5. Then turn on your computers or restart them and it will pick up IP Addresses from your DLINK Router

I just wanted to confirm that if d link adsl2+ router glb802c is

The D-Link DSL-2640B is ITU-T G.992.5 Annex A/L/M compatible, so yes it is.

Activating should be up to your ISP, as long as you have signed up for the service then you should be provided with any authentication information required for you connection. There should be a quick start guide that came with the router that can let you know how to configure the authentication information in the web config gui for the router.

Here is a link to the quick start guide in case you don't have it:
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Broadband/dsl2640B/QIG/dsl2640B_QIG_100.zip

Hope this helps!
