All routers have a reset button at the back, they arent obvious because its just a hole, turn your router on, wait 1 minute stick a pin down this hole and hold it down for about five seconds, wait a minute and then power off and on your router, should work just fine but you might have to check your settings again since resetting a router resets all settings...Hope this helps

DSL is PPPOE ( requires you to call up your DSL company and have them reset the PPPOE password every-time the modem gets reset) but with Cable this is not a problem trust me. I used to have DSL and I hated having to call up India everytime my dumb brother hit the reset button on the modem when his Internet was not working. Hope this helps and go with Cable!!

Try to configure the settings of the d-link modem. Make sure the atm circuit identifier goes along with the settings required by yopour isp. If not, try to check it with them. Normally, internet connections make use of vpi as 8 and vci at 35 for ciruit identifier. Try that. You can change the settings of the modem by pulling its interface.

You can restore the unit to factory setting by pressing the reset button. It is located inside a small hole on the back of your router between the LAN and DSL connections. You'll need a pin or very small screwdriver to reach the button inside the hole.

try resetting the browser try to change the micro filter turn off the modem and computer power it back and check try connecting the modem to the main telephone socket check if the if ur phone line works fine after all these check the problem still continues its dsl connection problem

Probably because your home network (by which I mean your modem/router) is not wireless (WiFi). That's also why you have to "wire" your laptop to your network with an Ethernet cable, instead of using it wirelessly.
