The E41 error means exactly what you experienced. The door isn't locking (or the computer doesn't get the door locked message). Since the door was closed, you either have a problem with the control board or the door strike plate and door lock switch. Take off the J2 plug from the control board and check for continuity between the black wire and ground. If you see 120V, then replace the console control board. If the circuit gives an open, then check the strike plate. If that's bad, replace it. Otherwise replace the switch. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/parts-for-frigidaire-gltf2940fe1.html has some of the parts. The door latch is part 8 on the cabinet diagram.
Occasionally, the error is triggered by water in the drain motor You should also check the drain motor/pump for any blockages. Note: if there is water in this area, you'll need some towels to control the water.
From my understanding your Frigidaire front load washer is getting stuck between the drain and spin cycle. I noticed that you have replaced many components within your washer and continue to experience this issue. I would not advise to manually advance any part of the washer because this could cause issues within your washer. It could be a potential issue with the motor. At this point you may want to reach out to a technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you to avoid any further part purchases. -Matt
you will need to remove the door, the front panel, and raise the top to gain access to the locking mechanism. you will need to check for power to the wax motor that latches the door, if power exists during the spin cycle and its not moving and latching then you need to replace the : 12002535 -
WAX MOTOR.. if no power exists to the wax motor and/or the microswitches there during a spin cycle then the main control board is toast
and part number depends upon what series unit u have.. best of luck, ttfn
It sounds like you may have one or more problems. One of which could be your door lock switch, quite often this part will simply fail over time. If it is faulty it will not lock the door, and for safety reasons will not go into a spin cycle. door switch assembly part number is 131763245. Also the door strike located on the doors edge will sometime break or chip in side the latch and you will have replace both. part number for the strike is 134456600. the other possible problem could be that your motor control board or speed board is faulty and is not sending the proper amperage to your motor telling it to spin. motor control board part number is 134591200. the strike is easy to replace but the others may require a technician.hope this helps
I had the same problem listed above on my LTF2140ES3...the machine did
everything but do a final spin. In diagnostics I could do the final
spin and the machine kicked out an E43 which is the control board
error.
Following the advice here I changed the door latch first and the problem went away and the unit runs as it should.
You'll get "experts" who say that the unit would not spin at all if the
door latch was bad. I can tell you first hand that they are wrong.
Again the unit did all the normal tumbling but didn't do the high speed
final spin. Again, replacing the door latch fixed the problem. The door
latch is part number 131763245 (AP3886713)
You're problem is probably the door latch assembly. This is a common problem on Frigidaire front load washers. You can find the part at your local appliance parts suppliers. If the door latch assembly is faulty, the washer will run through all of its normal cycles, but will not spin. Hope this fixes the problem for you.
