It can be 2 things: Or the screen is dying, or the graphics card is dying. Try to start up with an external screen and see if it still blinks. When its still blinking on the external screen, your graphics card is dying, if the external screen shows no issue, then your screen is dying.

They will fix it and ship it back by Fedex or UPS. If you are able to operate but the screen blinks then it could be as simple as a loose cable connection. If you are not able to get past the welcome screen then you have a windows issue with the operating system or boot files.
techsupportnoel: remove your ac adapter and battery and hold the power button down for 25 seconds, after plug your ac adapter in only and turn unit on.
on some pc's a blinking power light denotes the batteryy is in the process of charging. The blank screen means your operating system is not loading properly try F2 to go into bios and set boot options use the "tab"key to navigate.then "enter"to select and change boot sequence play around with the settings untill you are familiar with these pages--this is of course if you havent totally corrupted you os in which case your best bet is to reinstall os from disc--good luck!
The blinking hyphen means it cant find an Operating System. If this unit were in warranty I would ask for a new one. If not then replace the motherboard.
check on ebay as it's quite cheap there. Also if you know how to use a soldering iron you may well change the jack plug in..it depends how competent you are.
