E000247-0001 appear on display when ir3300 mechine turned on and it is not working What should I do.

Before replacing ir3300 touch screen warm the display with hair drier. It is likely to function normally

the error refers to PDL board mounting error- suggest if the machine has been moved or if any parts have been removed or replaced you check ALL pwb board connections this could take some time to complete try to start where you have been working in the machine first.

Install scangear from cd or download it from canon download site, run installation, under scangear properties use "discover" button, set copier to online, open eg word2003, insert-picture from scanner or camera, choose scangear and custom insert.

there are either 4 AA batteries or in some cases one 9 volt battery that has to be replaced .. in some models you slide off the area under the keypad to get at the battery .. .. as the battery ages it has enough current to operate the display but not enough to operate the unlocking mechinism .. once you have it open make sure the mechinism works freely .. if not it may need some non gumming lub .. dont use WD 40 for this ..
