That message appears if the shut down process is not followed.

power failure , emergency shut down or other problems that just shut the pc down will result in files and folders becoming corrupted and not saved

when booting up if the message appears that states start in safe mode , start normally etc , click on start normally

SOURCE: I had an improper shut

Try Restoring the System to an earlier date and time. Boot your laptop and press F8 after the POST and you will see a list of options provided.
Select safe mode with command prompt and logon.
At the command prompt type rstrui.exe
this should give you the system restore utility and you can use that to restore your system

Shut down

Possible corrupt operating system. The cause of corrupt operating system is Windows file corrupted or virus infected Windows.

Solution corrupt Windows files:
1. START - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Recovery Options - System Restore (restore to the date when the OS is still normal)
2. START - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Recovery Options - System Image Recovery (restore using a backup system that you created)

Solution files corrupted due to virus infected windows
Update anti-virus and virus scan (if the virus is detected, the primary action = repair, secondary action = quarantine). Then repair the operating system with System Restore or System Recovery Options.
Note:
If the operating system infected with virus (virus infected not long ago), the best solution is to use System Restore. Restore to a date when the windows are still normal.

The laptop tells me that one of the drivers is having a problem and it shuts down on its own.it is an hp nx 7300

It refers to the Drives not drivers. It simply means that your hard disk have a lot of floating data files due to improper shutdown or hardware failure. So, to resolve this, windows shuts down to prevent further damage.

When windows open, open My computer. Right click on your Drive C and click properties. Click TOOLS Tab and Click CHECK NOW. Then schedule a thorough check.

No boot up

Solution :
  • Run chkdsk /r or chkdsk /f to detect and resolve any file system structural damage.
  • After you use the Chkdsk tool to repair the corrupted NTFS volume, rename %SystemRoot%\System32\Drivers\Ntfs.old to Ntfs.sys, and then shut down and restart the computer.
  • Try disabling any virus scanning programs, backup programs, or disk defragmenter tools that constantly monitor your computer.
  • Run any system diagnostics that are supplied by your computer manufacturer, especially a HDD check.

A problem has been detected an window has shut down to prevent damage to my computer

boot into safe mode by pressing f8 at windows boot time,

run a check disk by rightclicking the harddisk, properties, tools, check disk

check both options for file recovery and system file fix, click ok rebboot

see what happens and get back to me

or

use a bootable media like the windows system disk to enter the recovery console and run checkdisk from there

get back to me
