5. All the normal Minolta programs now work just fine. Enjoy!

Download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from the Microsoft site and run it on your XP system. Plug your camera to your computer and run the program. It should tell you if there are drivers available and if it is compatible with W7.

Using my Dimage Scan Dual 4 SW with Windows 7 gives me trouble. Have konica Minolta SW ver. 1.0.0 for windows XP. It works fine on the XP computer. But I have great difficulties loading the SW on

Have you right clicked on the .exe file of windows 7 executable for the Minolta scanner to select compatibility to switch it back to xp.Have you tried to use third party twain drivers for scan software such as silverfast or vuescan instead?

Konica minolta dimage scan dual IV

Are you doing index scans or prescans? Sometimes the software gets funky - try doing at index scan if you are doing prescans, and vice versa. Also try CHTL+SHIFT+I which is a recalibration (don't that will do anything but it can't hurt). The best thing might be to just remove Dimage totally (you may have to delete the main folder if you've created any Jobs) and then reload the software. Before you do that, update your virus software, do a system check, and maybe some maintenace like a Defrag - then reboot, remove the software, reboot again and reload software.

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Scan Dual IV Film Scanner driver in an IMac

DS Dual 4 even works with SnowLeopard on a CoreDuo MBP. But it doesn not support Autofocus when used under USB2. You have to use a USB1.1 Port, if you want to use autofocus function. Every time the software crashes, because you tried e.g. to use autofocus with USB2, you will have to close the application, go to the folder User/Library/Preferences/DS Dual4/... and look whether there is a file name something like "MFSlib...." and pull it to the trash bin. You can start the application again. PS.: Your keyboard USB port is a USB 1.1 port!

Scans slides too dark.

maybe the slides are too dark, in other words, the pictures you took didn't have enough exposure therefore you it shows up dark.. You could always use photoshop or someother photo manipulation software to lighten the scan, same thing happens with my hp scanner with slide adapter, if it slides just show up dark, lightening it with software will help, unless it is unsaturated/shadows too dark, etc..

Hope this helps.

The Negative Holder is stuck

Hi

Turn the device off. Disconnect the AC power. Reconnect the AC power. Turn the device on. Now See if you can "eject".

If that doesn't work then again unplug the scanner from the power supply and the PC.

You have to unscrew 3 rounded head screws 1) The single screw at the back of the unit. 2) The two screws which are closest to the rear of the unit underneath the unit.

Carefully you have to remove the casing that makes up the sides, top and the back of the unit has to then be pulled back and a bit up to be released and the plastic hinges of the casing will catch parts of the internal frame. Therefore great care and patience must be taken when pulling the case back and off of the rest of the frame of the unit. After the casing is removed slowly push the film holder towards the back of the unit until the front door of the casing is fully opened manually, and then using one hand keep the door open while slowly pushing the film holder towards the front of the unit with the other hand. Now put the casing back.

However there is a mirror within the unit. So be careful that no contact is made with that mirror or else it will damage the focus due to scratches and patches on the scan.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion. Thank you for contacting fixya.com

Konica Minolta Dimage scan dual

Copy this into a text file named "sonyscanners.inf" and then manually point to it as the correct driver in device manager for your scanner and it'll all work like magic again. Forget using a virtual machine...not needed. I use this for both the Dimage IV and 5400 Elite in Windows 7 64-Bit.
