In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

How do i program my remote

Hello;

Without knowing the codes for the specific brand names and models of your devices, this is how you program the Zenith MBR3447 for your TV, VCR, DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver:

TV

1. Push the "Power" button on the TV to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "TV" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the TV's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the TV fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the TV does shut off. Each time the "Power" button is pressed the Zenith MBR3447 tries using a different TV device code from its code library to turn the TV off. Therefore, when the TV finally does shut off it's an indication that the remote is temporarily programmed with the correct device code to control the brand of TV you're using.
6. Press "Enter" to save the current code.

VCR

1. Push the "Power" button on the VCR to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "VCR" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the VCR's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the VCR fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the VCR does shut off. Then press "Enter."

DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver

1. Push the "Power" button on the device your programming the remote to control to manually turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "AUX" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the device's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the device fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the device does shut off. Then press "Enter."

My remote Stopped working with my TV but still works with DVD player. I have a new universal remote and it will not work as well, what part Do I need to replace?

You may want to try a “Hard Rest” by unplugging the power from the TV.
While the TV is without power, one at a time, push on each of the buttons on the TV & listen to hear them click (there may be a button stuck down).
After at least a few minutes have passed, plug the TV back in. Sometimes the TV may power on by itself and other times it will may not. If the TV did not power on by itself, push the button on the TV to power on the unit.
After the unit has power on wait about 30 seconds. Now point a known working remote at the TV and see if it is working correctly. You could test your LG remote on another LG TV at home, a neighbor’s house, and or at a store.
If the TV does respond by using the buttons on the TV but not with remote control, the problem could be with the following.
Remote Eye board and or the Main board.
I hope my information has helped you.
Good Luck.
