Your unit is most likely fried from the surge. Fixable but cheaper to replace.

Won't turn on

This is a clear failure of the power supply or the control panel due to the power outage and so will require that the power to the unit internally is checked. Sometimes this can be due to a fuse blown out or a control panel failure within the unit due to the intermittent fluctuation.

My sony wega screen went pink & blue then black now the stand by light keeps 5 times and tv will not turn on

This is usually indicative of a power supply or power board failure inside the unit. Unfortunately there is no easy fix and you will need repairs. Please contact Sony to see how you can go about getting a repair scheduled, or check with a local TV repair shop in your area. Sony's number for this department is: 239-768-7547

When i try to dry clothes t5 shows up on the display

HI. This code is in reference to a failed Thermistor(Temperature monitor). Your thermistor resistance is very low. In this state, it cannot monitor the drum temperature, correctly.

The necessary actions are to check for a clogged lint screen. I would also advise to inspect the entire vent assembly for clogs, as well. If there are no clogs present in the areas stated, this will isolate the thermistor as the lone culprit. Here is a picture of the affected part:
1be2827.jpg
This part is mounted inside the unit on the blower housing, which is behind the front panel. Here is a picture showing the thermistor mounted with its contacts protruding.
e68a4c5.jpg
There are two screws holding the thermistor in place. You will need to confirm the failure by using the two terminals shown to measure the proper resistance level of the thermistor. The proper resistance level should be 10000 ohms @ 77° F/25°C. Anything considerably above or below that will confirm failure. When testing; Unplug the harness connector and test from the wire insertion side. Pin #2 and Pin #6 of CN6.

Click here to access the service manual for this unit. This manual will take some time to download, due to its size. Please give it atleast 3 minutes of download time to complete. Total download time can vary depending on your internet speed and congestion level(peak hours). Page 24 and 25 concentrate on the removal of the blower housing. Pages 16-23 will guide you through the total disassembling procedure of the unit. This will include the removal of the top, door, front panel and bulkhead/drum sections.

What will happen to the hard drive in power failure?

Power failure as in whole house power failure? Or the computer's power supply failure?
Whole house failure, nothing, the computer will shut off and require rebooting, at which time you may receive a message the computer was not properly shut down, just continue as normal.
Computer power supply failure, same thing, nothing, except the computer will not reboot as the power supply has failed.

Panasonic dmres30v dvd/vcr combo total dead no clock desplay ,power ,could it be a fault in power supply sections ?

This could be down to one single component, a swollen looking capacitor. Normally 630uF capacitor on the power/digital board, located under the rear of the Ram drive. Tell me, did this failure happen afer you unplugged the unit?
Kind regards,
G

Tray wont open on my philips cdr600 recorder , can it be fix

You can try the following:

Unplug power cord.
Plug back power cord.
Press start and push repeatedly the eject button while the unit is starting, before the Player start reading the CD.

Try this a couple of times.

if that does not work, then you will need to disassemble the unit, unplugging from power, and removing the screws at the bottom and at the back, to access the drive and remove disk manually.

U99

Hi there, this is what Panasonic say.... The "U99" error code signifies a "general communications failure."
It is not associated with one specific problem.
It can be related to the version of firmware your DVD recorder is currently using and it has been associated with the TV Guide on screen guide.

If your unit displays U99, turn the power off-unplug the
unit for 5 minutes, and reconnect the power.

If U99 reoccurs, please contact the Global Service Center Network for assistance.
