HI. This code is in reference to a failed Thermistor(Temperature monitor). Your thermistor resistance is very low. In this state, it cannot monitor the drum temperature, correctly.
The necessary actions are to check for a clogged lint screen. I would also advise to inspect the entire vent assembly for clogs, as well. If there are no clogs present in the areas stated, this will isolate the thermistor as the lone culprit. Here is a picture of the affected part:
This part is mounted inside the unit on the blower housing, which is behind the front panel. Here is a picture showing the thermistor mounted with its contacts protruding.
There are two screws holding the thermistor in place. You will need to confirm the failure by using the two terminals shown to measure the proper resistance level of the thermistor. The proper resistance level should be 10000 ohms @ 77° F/25°C. Anything considerably above or below that will confirm failure. When testing; Unplug the harness connector and test from the wire insertion side. Pin #2 and Pin #6 of CN6.
Click here to access the service manual for this unit. This manual will take some time to download, due to its size. Please give it atleast 3 minutes of download time to complete. Total download time can vary depending on your internet speed and congestion level(peak hours). Page 24 and 25 concentrate on the removal of the blower housing. Pages 16-23 will guide you through the total disassembling procedure of the unit. This will include the removal of the top, door, front panel and bulkhead/drum sections.
