My washer is flooding water out of the soap dispenser and not going into the tub where the clothes are

We have had a service person look at it and he cannot find anything wrong with it. It is leaking out of the soap dispenser.

Washing machines, whether top load or front load types, have a tendency to build up back pressure through the soap dispenser if the pipe/chute is clogged due to soap build-up being present. Check that the pipe/chute that conveys the soap and water to the drum is not clogged.

Why does My Samsung VRT front loader leave the soap dispenser full of water at the end of the wash cycle. I have to empty it in order to add detergent for the next wash cycle.

there are 2 components to the soap dispenser, 1 using liquid soap has a little tub that you dispense soap into and 2nd you remove the tub when using powder soap. I assume that you are talking about the little tub is filled with water. How this works is by adding water to the tub the level rises and siphoning empties the little tub. If any water remains it is due to water being added after the little tub has already emptied. That is not a big issue and will happen. Just empty the water or add some water to start the syphon process.

Water coming out of soap drawer

Some washing machines, can flood water out of the soap dispenser when a hose gets blocked (usually with un dissolved soap powder) .Water flooding out of the front of a washing machine's soap dispenser can also be an indication of overfilling or a partial pump blockage if it does it when spinning.
Black gunge in the top of the soap dispenser can cause water to spray towards the front and leak. Take out the soap dispenser drawer and look at the roof of the soap dispenser. If it's covered in black gunge, blocking some of the water holes, it could be causing problems. In extreme cases you have to replace the dispenser.

Soap-not residue-still on clothes

Wow that's a strange one.
Are you pouring the soap into the tub onto the clothes or using a soap dispenser? If using a dispenser, it may be malfunctioning, try pouring soap directly into the tub under the waterfall while it is filling.
When the machine is agitating are the clothes on top being drawn under the water? Usually this occurs as a rolling motion from the edge of the tub towards the agitator. If the top layer of clothes have an air bubble trapped in them they may not be submerging into the water. Any soap on top may not be dissolved.
Finally, if you are pouring soap into the tub, make sure you are not spilling any onto the inside of the lid or in the softener dispenser. It could get trapped in the lip around the edge of the lid and be spilling onto the clothes when you open the lid at the end of the cycle.
Do you have the same problem if you use powder soap?

Water overflows from the soap dispenser drawer when filling tub

Hello, the problem here is you have a blockage between the soap dispenser and the tub, remove the top of the machine, Normally 3 screws at the back lip of the machine. Now you have access to the soap dispenser. There is a pipe that runs from the dispenser to the tub, remove this pipe and inside you will most likely find a sock or similar item of clothing. Put everything back together and you are all set. Good Luck! Mike

Here is a response I recently gave to a person posting a similar problem. You do not state your model number, so: If you have a tub clean cycle, use that, if not, use the longest, hottest cycle with no clothes and a front load washer cleaner like Ahfresh, Washer Cleaner, SmellyWasher Cleaner, Tide front load washer cleaner, or Whilaway hot tub cleaner. Clean the tub gasket area by the door and remove the filter and clean it out also before you run the clean cycle. You may have to run the cycle with a cleaner twice to remove all the built up soap scum inside the washer. Now, after the washer is clean, USE ONLY ONE TO A MAXIMUM OF TWO TABLESPOONS OF HE LAUNDRY DETERGENT PER CYCLE !!!! (and no more than one teaspoon of fabric softener per cycle, if you use it)

You could check out http://www.smellywasher.com/ for one possiblity. The big thing is that these machines use very little water, and many of the newer soaps are 2x or 3x concentrated, so you have to use very little soap. (much much less than the soap manufacturers suggest) in order to rinse all the soap residue out of the clothes and prevent it from builing up in your washer and causing odors. (oh, by the way, that one cleaner I listed as Washer Cleaner is actually " Washer Magic ") 73b1c2a.jpg fb3071a.jpg

Whirlpool Duet GHW9100L pours water out of the soap dispenser dra

probable cause is there is an article of clothing that is stuck between the outer and inner tubs, in the area where the dispenser water and detergent enter the machine. you can run your hand around the rubber boot and you might be able to remove the article, it will be in the upper left part of the machine. if nothing can be found than you have a plugged up dispenser hose.

LG WM2277HS - water backing up into soap dispenser

The pipe from the soap dispenser to the tub is quite large, it seems as if the water isn't getting out of the dispenser quick enough. Pull the whole dispenser out of the machine. There is a release clip at the back of the cup with the tray fully open. Clean out all soap residue and scum. Sometimes there is also a spot or setting for liquid or powder detergent. Adjust accordingly. Reassemble and try it again.

LG Front Loading Washer overflows at detergent dispenser

you mean where you put the regular HE soap in? That slot is normal to overflow. The water carries the soap down (Lift the little doohickie up, it's removable for powder deterg.), and it carries it all the way to the tub...Unless i don't get it...but I'm reading the phrase "Its like the water will not go down to the tub.", and it makes me think the whole tray is overfilling with water..if this is the case, I can't help you, but filling over of the Main HE Soap tray is normal. (Just a little, if the whole thing starts filling uncontrollably, hit the power button.)
