Canon sx50 hs Power button not working

The power button does nothing on the camera. I have tried new batteries, as well as the original. All were fully charged when testing.

Obviously the battery is not powering the camera. That could mean many things. There is a break-down in circuitry in the camera and you need to turn it in for a professional check-up.

Maybe this fuse is blown:

Short it or replace it.

SOURCE: Camera won't power up

Mine was the microswitch that tells the camera the battery / card door is closed. The tiny, cheap plastic protrusion that pushes on the switch broke off. Jam the switch with the end of a toothpick.

SOURCE: Camera will not turn on. Battery fully charged;

Hello,
You can give it to an expert for repair, he can repair it for less as there must be just a fuse problem, which can be fixed for a very less amount.

SOURCE: Canon 40d-pressing the shutter seems to short out the camera.

I recommend that you remove both batteries for ten minutes to get a full reset. you spoke of the main battery. When you open the battery compartment, look at the lower right toward the camera with the LCD facing you.
It is a little hard to see, but will say CR2016 3V. Stick your fingernail under the lip and just pull it out.
As I said I left both batteries out for about 10 minutes.
You will have to re-set the date and time after your done.

Why XA10 cannot power on by pressing power on button.

There could be several reasons why the Canon XA10 camera is not powering on when the power button is pressed. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the battery: Make sure the battery is charged and properly inserted into the camera. If the battery is low or dead, the camera may not turn on.
  2. Check the power adapter: If you are using the AC adapter, make sure it is properly plugged into the camera and the power outlet.
  3. Try a different battery or power adapter: If you have another battery or power adapter, try using it to see if the camera powers on. If it does, the original battery or adapter may be faulty.
  4. Reset the camera: Remove the battery and memory card from the camera, then press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds. Reinsert the battery and memory card, then try turning on the camera again.
  5. Contact Canon customer support: If none of the above steps work, the issue may be with the camera's internal components. Contact Canon customer support for further assistance.

How does canon sx50 hs power the clock

From the main batteries. If there truly is no separate battery then a capacitor holds enough power so the clock keeps running while you change the main batteries.

Why would all of a sudden everything be black as if looking through view finder with the lens cover on

Did you try pressing the display button several times?
Can be done in view mode and in shooting mode.
If nothin helps and if you even can't view pictures, your camera must be defect. But the exact cause can only be found by someone having the camera in his (her) hands, with not only diagnostic skills, but also diagnostic tools.

Why won't the menu button won't work and i also cannot delete photos individually

Make sure there isn't a button lock feature on your camera to protect against accidentally changing a setting.

If you cannot delete photos individually you may have the image protection feature enabled.

What is going on with my camera screen ?

Have you tried it without a memory card in it? Or with a new memory card? Have you tried it while plugged into your computer? Is it possible that the Settings knob on top of your camera has been bumped hard enough to have possibly damaged an internal contact point below it?

Cant find the right remote switch

I can't find a connection connector for a wired remote, and I can't find an infra red sensor, for a IR remote. Then in the menu settings nothing is mentioned about remote control settings, so I think your camera does not support any remote control. So if you want to shoot on a tripod, without touching the camera, you have to use the Self timer. See the manual page 58
