This is the telephone user card. Take note 'button inquiry' 'Button programming' and button labeling (desktop assistant (downloadable button labeler)(change font for size and bold the lettering)). If you need the feature codes for your Norstar sets... google 'Norstar feature codes"

Does auto answer feature is available on Norstar phones? if yes, how?. Thanks!

Yes in system programming, handsfree answer back must be enabled. There are several different phone system models that the M7310 phone works on. I need the model number of the phone system to give accurate programming directions.

I need the template for labeling our T7316 telephone.

You can either download the business series terminal desktop assistant from nortel: http://www116.nortel.com/pub/swcode/desktopassistant/v1.4/DA1.4_setup.exe

or if you need the program and the paper inserts you can go to:

Program a new Nortel m7310 phone with an existing extension

If the extension was a swap of the old M7310 with a new(ish) M7310 no additional programming should be necessary. However if the phone was replaced with another type of nortel set(M7208, M7324,T7313 etc.) then the phone will default to its base features. To re-program the feature keys press feature *3, the button you wish to program, and the feature code for that button

How do I set the time and caller ID?

Depending on your system level software, there is an easy and a hard way to cahnge the time and date...
If your system has this software level; -> simply dial FEATURE * * 8 4 6 3 (TIME) and input the time in 24hour intervals...
The hard way is you need to know how to access the telephone system, do you have the administrator password? Do you have a key template? (a paper that tells you how to navigate thru the programming)

M7310 has lines 1 & 2 restricted to local calls only...HELP

Sounds like a 6x16 system, if you open it up, can you see on the right hand side 6 ports for your telephone trunks?

Ok... depending on the software level... enter the programming of the system, via **266344 and password 266344 (these are default passwords: might not be your passwords?)

Ok, once in you will see: TERMINALS&SETS (this is where your template to maneuver will come in handy) hit enter, and type in the sets that you want to change (ex 24) --> Look for RESTRICTIONS hit enter --> look for SET RESTRNS --> FILTERS --> change Normal to 2 and Night to 2 and Evening to 2 so on and so on.

This is the default to give no outside restrictions for your sets.
