SOURCE: no power to emachines t6522

Hi,
The final set of connections are the front panel leads that attach to the motherboard. This includes the LEDs for hard drive activity and power status, the case speaker, and most importantly, the power switch.
eg:

You should consult your motherboard manual to find out where to plug these in. The power one is obviously the most important.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: front panel to motherboard, ASRock P4i65G, connections

the power switch is on the 3 and 4 pins....the 7 and 8 pin are the reset pins. Trying it on wrong pins just won't startup the board but won't short circuit anything.

I bought a powabyke on ebay and when it arrived I noticed that there was wires unattached beside handlebars where throttle cable joins throttle but the colours don't match the cable coming upwards has...

if its for the key area try red red ,black black, yellow orange, white grey, blue, green , kinda the same on some tailer hookups.
the other colored wires that dont match as well are distributed to the turn signals. if they work as they should after the above mentioned hookup great!.
If not just try switching the orange and blue wires again because one is left one is right side.all the power and grounds are the same, good luck, Gary

Black and white picture with red lines vibrating with sound.

More info would be nice. Are you using HDMI or Component cables. If it is component cables (red, blue, green for video white and red for audio) Check your red and blue connection. Green alone will give you a black and white picture.
If you are using an HDMI cable, replace the cable to see if this changes anything or if you have another tv swap cables to see if problem stays with tv or moves to another tv.

Why cant i get my wii console to work in color

Well it might either be the tv or the av cables that is causing the wii system to be in black grey and white then.
Picture Is Black and White or Does Not Appear Situation:
  • The console powers on and shows a black and white image on the television screen
  • The console powers on and there is no image on the television

What to do:
  • Determine whether the Standard AV Cables (packaged with the system) or the Component Cables (sold separately) are being used.

  • AV Cables

    • Ensure the yellow, red, and white cables are connected to the correct corresponding inputs on the TV. (How To)

    • Try another set of inputs on the TV, or hooking the Wii console up to another TV.

    • If the TV does not have the yellow, red and white inputs, it will most likely have component inputs which allow standard AV cable use. Try these AV hookup steps. (How To)

  • Component Cables

    • Ensure the red, blue and green video cables are connected to the correct corresponding inputs on the TV. (How To)

    • Try another set of inputs on the TV, or hooking the Wii console up to another TV.

Still Not Resolved:
  • If the television is continues to show a black and white image when powering on the Wii console, then the problem is likely with the system and it will need to be repaired. Please call 1-800-255-3700 so that we may assist you further.

A new cable box was connected to my 32" Proscan LCD TV. Now everytime I turn on the television I see the message "HDMI-1 No program information available" I contacted the cable company and...

I know this may be a dumb question but I have to ask because even though the cable company has HD boxes a lot of them still dont have HDMI outputs instead they use the 5 Component cable (red, blue, green, for video and white, red for audio). Not only that most of the cable guys are not the brightest in the world I work in an electronics store for 13 years and cant tell you how many times I went to someone house and it was hooked up wrong. Are you stuck on HDMI-1 or can u chnge the channel by using the tv/video button it may say input as well. Check how its hooked up easy to tell 1 cable HDMI, 5 cables -Component. If it is HDMI check the other hdmi input as most LCD tvs have at least 2. same for component it will say component on screen

My dvd movies only plays in black and white.

are you using component video cables (red, green, blue) or composite (yellow, red, white)
most of the time if the blue or red cables from the component area seated firmly they cause the picture to be in black and white.

Trying to hook up the dvd player to the tv and I figured out how to get the color back on but the sound is terrible it sounds like its echoing. Can't figure out the blue green red combination for white red...

Your TV probably has several different ways of connecting video. One is component, which uses three cables. They are red, green, and blue (RGB). The video output on your DVD player will match this color scheme.

Another scheme for video is composite (because it combines the red, green, and blue into one cable). Composite video is usually a yellow "socket". It is simpler to connect, but the video quality is noticeably poorer than component (RGB).

Another scheme is S-Video. This is one cable (round and black), but you will see four pins inside the connector (and four holes in the "socket"). This accounts for the three cables in the component scheme with the convenience of having only one cable. The picture quality is almost as good as component as well.

In your case, there may be confusion between composite and component. If you have red, green, and blue sockets on both the DVD and TV, then make sure you use them and connect them color for color.

Now for the sound, this is simpler. Red is the right channel, and white is the left. Make sure you connect red to red and white to white. Then, viola, everything will be right.

I hope this helps.
