How to get in the service mode on imagerunner

Entering service menu is accessible by pressing (*), then pressing 28 for some seconds, then pressing (*). Choose Copier in the service menu, then options to clear.
That should get you there.

If you know the password, then under user mode, i think system sett., must be option for department id management where you can change passwords.

If you dont have pass, you can do clear all under service mode ( * 2 8 * ) if canon changed service mode, like on some series, you can try MENU and #.

How do you get in Service Mode?

but why do you want to go to service mode.
1º key of adicional functions
2º keys 2 and 8 than again adicional function.

When the wait period is over, start service mode and execute toner supply (thereby
supplying toner from the hopper to the developing assembly).
1. Press the following in sequence to start service mode: ‘user mode’, ‘2 and 8 at
the same time’, and ‘user mode’.
2. Select COPIER>FUNCTION>INSTALL>TONER-S.
3. Check that the following indication has appeared: “CHECK THE DEVELOPER.”
4. Check to make sure that the developing assembly has been mounted properly
and press the OK key.
5. See that toner is supplied from the hopper to the developing assembly (about 8
to 10 min).
6. Press the Reset key twice to end service mode.

clear the error from the service mode

You DO NOT WANT TO RESET THIS ERROR CODE !!!!!!!
there is a problem with the fuser, if you reset it most likely it will melt the rollers in the machine.
check the lamp (burn out), and thermofuse. replace

You may need to go into service mode and reset the drum status. Service mode is dangerous and recommended for Canon techs only.
