There should be only 1 screw and one wire connecting the kill switch. The kill switch simply grounds out the ignition. So it is difficult to install improperly. The wire coming from the switch goes directly to the ignition module.

just eliminate and cut off the wire to the existing kill switch the put any kill switch you want on it and take the main electrical lead to the ignition or what ever it is and put the new kill switch in the middle of the new kill switch you installed I did it before it always works just make sure to eliminate the old kill switch and its connections are no longer needed

Eigther the kill switch failed or ignition module. Disconnect wire to kill switch if you get spark then switch is bad. Still no spark with kill wire disconnected ignition module quit.

It is a short in the kill switch, or the wire running to the kill switch. check insulation on the wire running to the kill switch and check the routing of the wire to insure that it is not being rubbed by moving parts, or the insulation melted by hot engine parts such as the exhaust system. Finally check that the kill switch itself is functioning properly with a test light or OHM Meter.

I do not understand why you would want another kill switch installed. It already has a kill switch for the engine and a circuit breaker that kills the output power.

Check for a broken wire at the side stand switch and coupler. Try moving the kill switch by hand. If that doesn’t work then wire a jumper around the switch to bypass it. Check the fuses. Is the handlebar kill switch on? Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter.

How good is the battery? Try a jump start from your car battery. Is the handlebar kill switch on? Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter.
