I'd remove the triangle panel on the bars to see if it goes, if not the plastic around the clocks sometimes makes a noise too. If its the handlebar plastic to fault put a piece of blue tack under it, around the clocks may need to wedge something between the faring and clocks.

I went over a bump and lost my spark ??? nexus 500 there is now no power to the coil.

Standard bike oil use SAE10W/40 or SAE5W/30 Castrol, PenRay, Motul, etc Use SAE70W90 single grade. Good enough free advise?

Try looking for a kink in the line where the line meets the handle bars, should come apart by removing two screws from the underside. As this is a common kink point and can be seen with little effort.

Check the side stand kill switch. It kills the engine so that you don’t start out with the side stand down. If broken or out of adjustment, it would kill the spark. Check for a broken wire at the side stand switch and coupler. Try moving the kill switch by hand. If that doesn’t work then wire a jumper around the switch to bypass it. Check the fuses. How good is the battery? Try a jump start from your car battery. Is the handlebar kill switch on? Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter.

You definitely need to change all with a kit of : ECU, engine main switch, seat lock and you will get in the kit 3 new keys, 2 black and 1 red.The black ones need to be programmed from the red one at a dealer's workshop.Then store the red some place safe.

this could be a bad starter solenoid  they are affected  by heat  when they start to fail  they usually act as if the battery is  going dead after a couple revolutions of the motor 

no absolutely not. you may have tight spaces to work in but do not remove the engine.

If your motorcycle has a center stand use it for long term storage. If you're not riding for several weeks and don't have a center stand you may want to consider carefully propping up the bike using blocks. Don't do more harm than good by dropping your bike while attempting to prop it up! If done correctly lifting your motorcycle will alleviate stress on the suspension and tires. Inflate your tires to the maximum recommended pressure will maintain their shape, since cooling temperatures will make the pressurized air contract. If the ground might potentially freeze, try to keep the tires off the ground using wood blocks.,,,

Try testing the voltage in the battery should be around the 13 volt mark. Remove battery from bike (undo negative lead first) and see if battery will charge. Do not use a car charger it will damage the battery. Use a charger that has an out put of less than 1 amp, if the battery accepts the charge leave it for a few hours. Refit the battery to the bike (connect positive lead first). If this does not work try looking at fuses could be one or more have blown. A few afterthoughts come to mind 1. do you have an engine run/stop switch and is it in the run position. 2. does the clutch lever have to be operated to start the bike. 3 is the bike in neutral.

on the x9500 that uses the same engine there's a reset button to press after a service hidden under a front panel, on some of the other Piaggios it's reset by using bottons on the speedo. so sorry I can't actually tell you on this model, but it will be along those lines.

Check your starter. It sounds like this is the culprit.

Have someone get the error codes from your car's computer with an OBD or OBDII scan tool. That light means you have a problem that needs repair, and the error code will identify what's wrong.
