Washer shakes, as if out of balance, after all water is drained

Washer is 5.5 yrs old, had new motor and belt installed, less then 6 mos. old. Washer will drain all the water and start spin drying, but then start shaking vigoriously, until I turn it off. Only does this with clothes in it, appears it does not spin as fast is it should. It should have a high speed, but do not hear it speed up. Has anyone had this issue?

Biggest problem i get on the front load machines are spinning and draining problems. First thing to check is make sure your soap is not foaming up. If you see alot of suds in the machine when it is washing switch brands h.e. soap is best but he liquid tide has been a big problem with suds. Next make sure you put equal size items don't mix heavy and light items in machine as this may have off balance issues! Next check the coin and pintrap if it has one some machines have filters on the front of the machine that need cleaning.After these have been checked see if the machine has any unusual noises or odors when used rubber burning odor or electrical odor when in use may indicate a overloading or internal problem with the machine.

Spin cycle will not work but motor is running. Washer is only 2 yrs old and seldomly used

does agitate cycle work? a. could be water leakage that's causing the belt to slip (if it's not 'direct-drive').
b. motor may need adjusting, because belt has stretched! if you're handy, then you can do it yourself, if not hire someone to check it out! cheaper than a new washer! unless it's water leak- as i try to always caution- UNPLUG IT!!
GOOD LUCK!

Water wont drain after wash!! Dishes wont dry all the way also

HI, usually, if the dishwasher dose not drain properly, it will be the fault of a defective or, malfunctioning pump. i will list several problem areas to check. Inspect each area properly and, replace any component that is faulty or fouled.

1. Air gap / Drain hoses
If there is an air gap (located in the sink, near the faucet), check to see if it is clogged. Unscrew the top cap and see if there is anything blocking inside. Note: If there is no air gap installed, the dishwasher might not drain properly.

If the drain hose is clogged, the dishwasher would not drain. If there is an air gap installed, it is very common that a hose going from the air gap into the garbage disposer is clogged. Remove and clean the hose. Make sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher.

Note: If you recently had a garbage disposer installed, it is common to overlook removing the drain plug.

2. Broken belt
Some dishwasher models use a belt to drive the pump. Replace the belt if found broken.

Note: Sometimes the belt would just come off the pump. Even though it might not be broken, it is recommended that you replace the belt, because it is probably too stretched out.

3. Pump
Some models have two impellers inside the pump - one, wash impeller, takes care of the wash cycles, the other, drain impeller, drains the water out. If the drain impeller is broken (broken blades, shaft), the dishwasher would not drain. Replace any broken pump components.

4. Drain solenoid
Some models (for example most GE dishwashers) use a drain solenoid to drain water out. Sometimes the solenoid gets stuck, preventing the water from draining out. Try to free up the solenoid. If unsuccessful, you might have to replace the pump assembly.

5. Motor
If the motor is stuck, it is sometimes possible to free it up by manually spinning the motor.

Replace the motor if defective.

6. Timer/control board
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

Washer squeaks really loud while agitating. Drains great 6yr old

Could indeed be the belt or at worst it could be thr main bearing getting dry and gradually seizing up. Hope it,s the belt!!

Washer fills and drains but won't aggitate or spin

Since the washer is less than an year old it must be under a warranty.Try contacting the customer care and get it replaced.

Generally for such a problem,the following checks need to be done.
* Test the lid switch
* Test the timer control
* Test the centrifugal switch
* Test the water level switch
* Inspect the motor coupler
* Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
* Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
* Test the motor
* Inspect the pulley
* Test the transmission

In your case I would advice to get your machine replaced with a new one.Good luck,Please do rate the solution if accepted.

GHW9100LW randomly stops during cycles, has a severe clicking noise

the water leaking back in may be due to a fill valve not fully shuting off allowing water to leak into washer after shut off...reclean pump ck as far as possible into pump itself something may be hung in impeller the shaking may be due to excess water in clothes causing off balance and shaking ..cleaning pump may solve problem..if possible pull pump completely out to clean ck pump impeller to be sure it has not come loose on motor shaft this would also cause slow or no pump out ..if impeller is loose replace pump..good luck

GE washer will not go to spin cycle or drain.

Possible lid switch not fully engaged. It will no drain or spin if lid switch is not fully engaged. I would also check the drain line for pluggage.

Loud whirring sound

no problem withthe water they sometimes use a water ring for balance, or you may be hearing water reaming in the pump and hose areaa, its always there. as far as not spinning completly you may need to replace the belt or the idler(tension pulley), two 5/16 screw along the very bottom of unit will gai you access to see inside the machine

Why wont my washer dryer empty the water...???

If the machine fills and agitates but does not drain, something is probably wrong with the drain hose or the pump. The fact that the washer fills and agitates tells you that the motor works and the belt is okay (though some units have a separate belt for the pump and direct-drive washing machines don't have belts). 1) Be sure the drain hose isn't kinked. 2) Check the tab on the lid that strikes the lid switch; if it is broken, the washer may stop during the drain cycle. Press and release the lid switch: if it doesn't click each time you do this, it's probably broken. If you're experienced at home repair, you can remove the switch, test it, and replace it if needed; otherwise, call an appliance repair service person. 3) The water pump may be broken or clogged with a small article of clothing or the controls may be broken; call an appliance repairperson. courtesy "nagev"
