My mouse pointer on screen moves erradically when I play games which use a lot of mouse movement. My mouse is a Microsoft Wireless Explorer Mouse with Blue Track Technology. Thanks.

How do I reverse the movement of the pointer in my mouse? I have got the wheel working but not the buttons for the pointers

Don't throw the batteries away without testing them.. If they are good reinsert them and check if the problem is resolved. I no longer bother with the battery check, poor mouse response happens when the battery is low. I just pop out one battery and reinsert it. It never takes more than twice to make it behave :)

POINTER FREEZES THEM MOVES THEN FREEZES DRIVING ME NUTS. THANKS

When this behavior is observed when using a Logitech product withinWindows® XP, it may be caused by a feature within Windows called"enhanced pointer precision". This feature may conflict with Logitech's software, causing the erratic movement. Enhanced pointerprecision became available in Service Pack 2 and therefore is notapplicable in any version of Windows® XP without Service Pack 2installed. For more information on enhanced pointer precision, please click HERE. If this link does not work, then you should go to Microsoft and search for Knowledge Base article 895550.

Please see these articles from the Logitech database for possible troubleshooting tips as well:

I get the same thing from a optical with cord.

Change the pointer speed. Look in Start > Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options.

Jerky mouse

Try using a different Mouse Pad or surface. This is a cause of jerky and erratic mouse movement.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

Take a q-tip and wipe the optical lens being careful not to apply pressure against the lens. This may or not help. Worth a try. Bud
