Pictures are coming out blurry sometimes depending on zoom

2 month old SD/750 camera suddenly stopped providing consistently clear, focused pictures. I took a bunch of pictures today trying to test and really come up with specifics, took indoor pictures of my dog using flash, then outdoors of my car and my patio furniture. More so than not for all three subjects, more pictures are blurry when camera is not zoomed in at all. Once I zoom in- even slightly, the focus improves. But, if I zoom too much, quality seems to get blurry again.

Fixxmaster, yes, I have cleaned the lens thoroughly with scratch free cloth.

Have also reset all settings, to ensure I had not pressed something accidentally.

My Cannon PowerShot SD750 LCD screen does not show any images when in camera mode to take a picture. The screen remains black and no image shows or when picture is taken does not show the picture. Any advice?

I have had this camera for about 5 months now. It was taking great pictures for the first 4 months but now it will not focus on anything. It seems to be getting progressivly worse. It used to be 1 out of three pictures were blurry, but last night, I could not get a single clear shot. I have tried playing with all the settings and nothing seems to help. To my knowledge the camera has not been dropped or damaged. Canon's website gives a list of 4 options for fixing the problem with the #1 answere being sending it in for repairs. Is this common for this camera? I have been very loyal to Canon in the past but this is turing into a bad experiece. Hope someone can help- Thanks

Blurry picture if zoom is used ( no Sharp mage)

I'm out of practice because my camera suddenly stopped working 6 months ago, but I don't recall having a problem with blurry pictures when I used the zoom. Sometimes, it takes a few seconds for a pic to come into clear focus. I think the trick is to just keep working with it.

Why are my pictures blurry when focus is all the way out, and focused when all the way zoomed in? this is also visually obvious on the lCD screen. zoomed out( out of focus)..zoomed in( in focus).

your camera's lense is clear? try clean it with suitable cleaner for lense. If still not working, check your user manual for setting

I have a Olympus C-750 UltraZoom. I was taking pictures and everything was normal, but then I noticed the viewfinder was blurry. I was walking through a tunnel under a river and I thought the temperature...

Hi Steve, I inform you that the problem only is moisture. Please follow this.
1. Put the camera in sunlight for few hours. After that use it & if you face same problem then
2. You need to visit camera repair shop and they open the camera completely and clean all the inside part of the camera. because you need to clean the moisture inside of lens, viewfinder & sensor too.
So only hope in sunlight. If its solve then fine.

All of a sudden everything is out of focus and very blurry, pictures and even through the view finder. we took a few pics tht turned out normal, set the camera down picked it up about 5-10 minutes later...

If the viewfinder is also blurry, it might be as simple as a smudge on the lens. Is the blur uniform and consistent on the pictures and in the viewfinder? Was there a curious dog nearby when you set the camera down?:)

Camera won't focus when using optical zoom

I had same problem. Found that doing a complete reset fixed it. Go into setup and at end there is a factory reset. If not working after that would suspect your ccd sensor is on way out. They should last 5-7 yrs. Be cheaper to get another cam with way prices have come down

All zoom pictures blurry

I am sure your lens is clean but from what you describing you have a definte problem with the lens assy which includes the autofocus sensors. Sometimes is can be a faulty focus motor , dirt between sensor and outer lens. Camera needs to be stripped and checked up.
