Jura Capresso C3000 keeps saying clean unit

I have run the clean process with the tablet 2 X , but the machine keeps beeping to be cleaned. I use brita filtered water & thought to decalcify the machine for the 1st time. Maybe that will help, but do you use the liquid that the manual says(durgol), or the decalc tablets Williams Sonoma says to use? Anyone else have their machine want to be cleaned over & over? Aftter 2 years, my Jura Capresso S8 has just developed the same problem. I use the Claris filters, so I doubt it is a problem with calcification. The time before this, it made me clean it twice and then the message went away, not it keeps saying "Clean Unit" no matter what I try.

Called tech support, and here is what fixed my S8: 1. Turn off the machine. 2. Remove the tray. 3. Reach into the machine to the left of the flap, and reach up into the machine until you find a round disk with a screw in the middle. this is the tamping disk. 4. Clean the tamping disk with dry paper towels. 5. Put the tray back and turn the machine on. 6. Run a cleaning cycle without the cleaning tablet. This made the "Clean Unit" message on my machine go away, but tech support said if this did not work, you shoud 7. Unplug the machine for at least 2 hours, and that should reset the message. Hope that works for you!

Billy, thanks for sharing this fix. I am surprised the tech support would share this info. Yes, i found the round disk with the screw in the middle. For the F7, this disk is directly behind the spring loaded flap, which is right in the middle of the machine when the tray is removed. Sure enough, the disk itself and the surrounding was very dirty. This is the first time we got repeating Ready/Clean message. Reach in and up like Billy mentioned above, and clean as much as you can, a small hand is much more useful. I also cleaned mine with a kid's toothbrush, one that hand a flexible handle. I bent the toothbrush into a Z shape, it reached in and up very well. After cleaning, i ran a Clean without tablet and the message gone away. Thanks again Billy.

We have the S8 here at our office. Ran the cleaning cycle and "Clean Now" message was still on and beeping afterwards. Read the Feb 28 comment and carefully cleaned everything that had grounds stuck to it. Ran the cycle again and it worked. Thanks all.

Jura capresso c3000 yellow clip

I found out where it goes, thanks to Juergen, who pointed me toward his excellent page on Jura cleaning: see figure 7d, copied here

which shows the yellow clip helping to hold on the tea pipe. I'm guessing that if you don't use the tea pipe, you will be okay. Otherwise you can just put that clip back on next time you clean the machine.

Clean unit

After making approximately 200 coffees, the internal brewing chamber and the
brewing unit must be cleaned (of coffee oils, etc.). The display will show
CLEAN UNIT alternating with the regular message. This indicates that it is time
to run the tablet cleaning cycle

Is there an easier was to decalcify the capresso 3000 than taking apart the whole machine. The directions say you have to remove the auto cappuccino assembly

Yes
You should run the decalcify program with the JURA decal tablets or DURGOL. Do not use other agents.
See page 25 of user manual.

Jura Capresso E8 keeps getting error code 8 over and over. I will clean, remove grounds etc, it will make a few espressos, then back to the error code. I can hear it struggling.

One of the problems that I see with these units is the Grinder setting. Sometimes the grinder is set too fine for Dark and Oily beans. This setting will ( can) clog up the brew screen after less than 10 cups are brewed. Also, running the cleaning tablets through to create a clean starting point may help you. Try turning the grinder to a slightly coarser setting and try that.

Impressa S9 keeps beeping "clean now". Have run cycle several times. Tried cleaning out the tamping disk area. turned machine on and off. Still getting the "clean now" message and beeping.

There could be several reasons for this problem but I can only think of the following:
1.) The internal sensor may have gone "bad". The sensors are sensitive and prone to failure. But before you give up, see #2 & 3 below.
2.) A few things to check:
- Make sure you are using the recommended white cleaning tablets*. If the tablets aren't used then there may still be oil build-up in the brewing chamber.
- When indicated during the cleaning cycle, be sure to remove the tray and bean container for at least 20 seconds and then replace, even if they are already empty.
*Cleaning tablets can be ordered from www.capresso.com.
3.) If you don't have cleaning tablets on-hand then you can try running a regular brewing cycle using white vinegar** instead of water. Follow with at least 2 cycles of clear water (to rinse) before brewing your first cup of java.
***This method is probably not recommended by your manufacturer. I have used it on my machines without incurring any problems but I can't guarantee that it's safe for your machine.

The entire pdf instruction manual for your machine can be downloaded from the following website: http://www.capresso.com/pdf/s9_instructions.pdf

Cleaning instructions for jura E8

I am not sure if you are referring to the standard clean that the E8 requests. If that is the case the instruction are to press the rinse button for 5 seconds, until it asks you to remove the tray, then follow the instruction on the screen (they are normally, rinse, rinse, add tablet (should be Jura one) - add to powder shoot, then the process runs through.
If you are talking about de-scale then you should us the Jura de-scale tablets, but vinegar and biccarb can also do the trick.

We had the same problem. We unplugged the unit from the wall and then plugged it back in again. For us, it was as simple as that.
