Jura Capresso Impressa E8 Espresso/Coffee Maker Questions & Answers
Water no longer comes out of the fill spouts during a rinse.
try and do a heavy duty de scale of the machine , put some descale directly into the tank, heat up ( de scale works better at high temp) select rinse, clean or flush programme. the vast majorty of probs. are due to limescale in the narrow pipe work.
Why fill bean message shows on display when machine is full of beans?
Difficult to say without the machine in front of me. Normally you get this response if no beans fall into the grinder. Are your beans oily, sticking together and not falling in?
Normally freshly roasted beans esp dark roasts are a bit oily. If so then you can change roasts, brands or mix with another type.
You might try to adjust your grind per the manual. (turn knob inside the bin while the grinder is grinding) see #8 page 12.
If the beans are falling in and grinding and you still get this msg I would say you have a grinder problem.

Jura capresso shuts down
It is possible that the timer unit in the maker is defective and need to be replaced. I would suggest you move the coffee maker to a different outlet and see if you have the same problem. If there is a short in the mechanism or a bad connection in the timer it could be experiencing a thermal shutdown.
Drawer will not go back in for Jura Capresso impressa
For Jura F7 Series, "Tray Missing, can't put it back in". With a small flashlight, look in to the cavity which the tray and grounds container reside in. Along the right side above a slot to the end, you'll see a white micro switch. with a "Tooth Pick" simply press the switch inward (to the right) and hold till the machine cycles the Levcer / Flap up and out of the way.! Put your tray and grounds container back in and begin brewing!! -dh
Grind time is short, puck is wet and sloppy, espresso weak
Sounds like you might have more than one problem.
From page 12 of the manual... NOTE THE LAST LINE.
"8. ADJUSTING THE GRINDER
......
• Open the lid of the bean container.
• While the grinder is running turn the grind selector switch to
the desired position (Fig. 6).
-The smaller the dots, the finer the grind.
-The bigger the dots, the coarser the grind.
Important:
The grinding grade can only be adjusted while
the grinder is actually grinding."
Why empty grounds message stays
So did you empty the grounds?
Pull the plug and plug it back in.
There is an encoder disk that spins around to control the mechanical movements inside the unit. Some mechanical piece is not where it is supposed to be and the circuit board it waiting for a sensor to clear. Cycling the power will normally make all the mechanics reset to the start position and clears errors/jams etc.
