Take off your hoses and check filters for sediment build up. If this is ok, you may need to replace the water inlet valve.

Maytag Ensignia top loading washer water hammers and fills slowly.

Check the water flow coming out of your water valves on the wall. Once in awhile a faucet washer comes loose in the valve causing "flutter". Check the flow through the hoses before they get to the washer.

I get as LF long fill fault on a maytag 200series frontload washer. Happend on all cycles.

Does it, in fact, fill slowly? (More than four (4) minutes.) If so, the controls are acting properly and the cause of the slow fill must be addressed. If not, focus on the water level control and/or the main control board - also, always check for loose connections.

Water fills slowly

could be your water pressure at the valve for the washer. make sure the valve is all the way on. if no better there are screens in the hoses to the washer make sure they aren't clogged

LAT 9400 AAW no motorized funtions only fills up

The only other thing it would check is your pressure switch. This will case a no agitation issue. If you remove clear pressure switch tub from the tub and blow into it you should hear a click from the pressure switch. With power your motor may agitate. Also check to see if the tube is clogged. If the issue is not in your pressure switch then i would have to assume the problem is in the timer. If you can read the schematic (usually located behind the control panel you could check to see if you timer is sending 120v down to the motor.

Hope this helps _MJ_

My model number is LAT 9593. The machine will fill, wash, but will not spin. I smell a slight electrical burning smell.

It sounds like your motor has failed. Let the washer sit unused for a day. then turn the washer to spin. Sometimes the motor will start cold. Replace motor.

1999 maytag neptune washer stops after filling up with water

There are a couple of common causes for a problem like this. First is a bad door lock assembly that also damages the machine control board (in the control panel). If this is the case the R11 resistor on the machine control board will be burnt.

Maytag has identified seven resistors that relate to specific components that need to be checked or replaced if the resistor is damaged. Listed here are the resistor identification, the circuit involved, and the recommendation:

R9 / pressure switch / check for loose connections or high resistance on switch contacts; replace pressure switch if necessary.

R11 / door lock wax motor / replace door lock mechanism and machine control board.

R51 / hot water valve solenoid / replace water valve and machine control board.

R52 / timer motor / check for loose relay terminal connections and replace machine control board.

R53 / cold water valve solenoid / replace water valve and machine control board.

R143 / (-) 24 Volt DC / contact was made between neutral and the 24 Volt DC circuit.

R162 / electrical buffer circuit / wire harness and machine control board.

Another common issue is a slow water fill fault. If the washer does not fill within a certain time the control will stop on a fault. Usually when this happens the START button can be pushed to continue the cycle.

Washing machines that won't fill or fill slowly often have a restriction in the incoming water supply -- usually in the screens of the inlet hose washers or the water inlet valve itself. Remove the hoses to inspect this condition. If the water inlet valve screens are plugged, replace the water inlet valve.
