Hi,

Make sure the volume is UP! If it is still not working go to control Panel, Device Manager, Sound, Video Game Controllers and uninstall your sound card. Then from the Device Manager click Action and Scan for Hardware changes.

It would also help if your drivers are up to date so you are sure you are using the full capabilities of your system and to lessen errors you will encounter. You can try using RadarSync software to check available driver updates. After checking, you will have an option to automatically update them all.

if speaker icon no longer appears go to setting on control panel, choose sound and verify if controller is there. Or re-install the sound drivers from hp web site, surely it will solve the problem. good luck

No sounds coming out

you have either lost the drivers for the sound card and have re-install or upgrade.
2. Your sound card has lost it's ability to transfer sound.
3. This will require a new mother board if so
4. Your speaker assembly connector is loose.
5. check the earphone jack with a set of head phones if you have sound there then the speaker assembly may need service
6. Check to see if you have the mute box checked in the Windows Volume control or mixer.

HP NX6125 mouse running away

I've had this problem with my Dell laptop before, it sounds like you have a phyiscal problem with your touchpad. I had to disable the touchpad within the mouse settings in control panel and either use my pointing stick or an external mouse.

This should work...

My laptop sound not working

Try reinstalling the sound drivers to make sure you don't have a software problem. Download the drivers from HP here. Getting them from the manufacturer is a good idea since you'll get the latest version. (The link is to the page for the basic dv6000. Your model may have a different number but the whole series should use the same audio drivers.)

After installing the drivers make sure you have the sound settings properly adjusted in Control Panel, and that the volume is turned up. This should solve your troubles. If you still have no sound but all is right with Windows, you'll need to have your hardware checked out. The on-board audio may have failed, or it could be as simple as a connector that has come loose on the main board.
