Pe114e had win 7 64b did not see scanner system, printer model XEROX PE220 model PE114E accidentally installed the printer's firmware. The printer does not work anymore. I can not find the printer's firmware to the emergency installation can be done pe114e file could you help from the internet.

The PE16 is listed as a GDI printer. This means that the laser imager within the printer is directly controlled from software, not from firmware through a portable printer language (such as PCL or PostScript).

Such printers are easier for the manufacturer to engineer (they're all software), but the "driver" must be specifically tailored for each OS. There's no Mac OS X driver for the PE16/PE114e either, they're listed as "Compatibility Level 5" (a fancy way of saying "NONE"):

If you have the choice betwen parallel port and USB, I'd recommend connecting via USB.

I'm not certain, but I think the hardware detection routines work better via USB.

That is a last error. Most likely the motor that spins the mirrors has failed.

i have the same problem too with my pe220. fortunately, i just purchased a new one which i planned to give to it to a relative, and I was able to figure out that the cause of the "function impossible" displayed.
the problem just occured this morning and I have tried downloading and updating the firmware too, clearing the memories, etc but cannot get the copier to work (can't print thru the pc also).

i then borrowed the new toner cartridge of the new pe220 and installed on my old one and i was able to print and copy again. the problem then is due to the chip memory.

the problem now is how to reset the serial eeprom chip in order to reuse the toner cartridge again.
