Thanks, cutter1. That's good information. And certainly, the price is right on the fan motor. For those who are mechanically inclined, and can do it themselves, it's really a bargain.

HI, OUR DEHUMIDIFIER SWEATS ON THE TOP AND

In some case, what you're seeing is normal. Especially, if the humidity in the room is high or the ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 & 60 degrees F.

Air obstruction - Dirty or clogged air intake filter or Obstructed air flow around the unit (maintain a minimum of 12" to 18" around the entire unit) can cause the unit to seat during operation.

Normally, this will take care of itself, if all of the aforementioned is checked and corrected, as necessary.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve te problem.

>check if the steam creating by the dehumidifier is enough or balance to neutralize the fresh air supply of the dehumidifier by not creating a too much moist or more tha 40% relative humidity so that water beads would not form from the top of the dehumidifier unit or from its supply of fresh air.

No water in getting into the bucket

The basic things that cause this problem are easy to troubleshoot and solve.

1. The humidity extraction level is set to HIGH. Lower it to 35% or less.

2. The air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Remove and clean the filter following the Owner's Manual's instructions on "How to clean the filter."

3. Not enough clear air space around the unit. Maintain a minimum of 12" Clear Air Space on all
4 - sides of the unit.

4. The ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 & 60 degrees F. If the unit is a basement, the air temperature at the floor level is colder than the air temperature at chest level. Place the unit on a sturdy table or counter, that can handle the weight of the unit, plus a full tank of water.

Hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks

When running load noise coming from black cylinder

That part you identified is the compressor of the dehumidifier. Compressor is probably bad or going bad. When compressor go bad the valves start making noise and they lose alot of there efficiency.

How do I connect the hose? lost manual

If you asking about the drain hose. There's what looks like a hose hookup on the back of the unit, down near the floor. It's probably plastic and is threaded to accept a garden hose. You may have to carefully knock out the opening of the plastic connector, to allow the water to drain into the connected hose. The hose then should go to a floor drain or sump pump. Keep in mind, the water will not drain up.

Hi - We've had an

Hi,
If the compressor and the fan are both running and it is not pulling the moisture out of the air, then the refrigeration system has developed a leak in it and has lost enough freon so that the coil is not cold enough anymore to condense the water out of the air...

Unfortunately, repairing these small systems usually will cost more then a new unit...this makes the old unit trash...
It will probably be best for you to dispose of the unit you have and look for a new one...

Hi, I have an LG

Try to see if operating the float lever by hand can make it turn off the 'bucket full' message. Maybe use a rubber band or tape to keep it in the on position vs. the 'bucket full' off position.

Check to see if the bucket has to be inserted for the unit to operate, and if the bucket has a nozzle to hook a hose up to at the bottom. I have a dehumidifier of a different brand that has this feature that works with the bucket in, but with the drain nozzle on the bucket connected to a plastic tube that leads to a drain for continuous operation without having to empty the bucket.

How is your hose attached to the unit if it isn't attached to the bucket?

Good luck on this repair.

The bucket full light stays on while it is empty.

There should be a switch that is activated by a float lever that if tripped will make the bucket full light stay on, and will prevent the unit from going on.

If this light is on when the bucket is empty, maybe try to jiggle the float lever, or investigate why the switch is activated when the bucket is empty.

Good luck on this repair.

I replace the bucket and it comes on for about

The fan will turn on for two minutes by default when power is restored. But, to get continuous dehumidfication, the down arrow may have to be pressed to lower the target humdity and operate the coils which should get cold and take moisture out of the air.

Ran for 1 day and produced no water?

No, it should produce water almost immediately in the bucket. Check that the air filter is clean and also the coils.

Check the Lg.com website and look up your model # and manual for information on how to perform the service yourself.

Good luck on this repair.
