LG LHD65EBL Dehumidifier - Page 7 Questions & Answers
Chlorine added to a dehumidifier
NOT the best suggestion Ive herd.
1st Chlorine is very corrosive to copper and aluminum.
2 In strong concentrations like your describing it is unhealthy. Usually 1 or 2 teaspoons per quart is plenty to sanitize the air and wont cause you health problems. And If you use more than this it needs to be followed by a manual rinse and wash out.

As for the drain most have a plastic pan and this is sometimes the type
that has to be removed and dumped or a hose has to be attached and the
hole it attaches to has to be cut out for self draining.
If the threads are fouled up all I can suggest is a lot of Teflon tape or pipe dope or cut out and replace the fitting with something that will correct the problem.
If this helps please rate me as high as you can and thank ytouu for using fixya.

Try resetting the GFI breaker, assuming it is connected to one. Also check the main breaker panel to make sure the breaker is not tripped. Unfortunately the electronic panels do go bad in these systems after a few years of service. Try resetting the unit. There should be a tiny reset button on the back. Also if the bucket is full it will not turn on, make sure it is in place and seated properly or it will not turn on. There may be a reset on the cord itself as well, hope this helps.
