Problem nikon d40 memory card is locked. slide lock to write position

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Memory card

The D60 was released BEFORE HD SD cards came out. The 4 gig card MAY BE TOO BIG. HSD I think is the Nomenclature you may need a normal SD card. I think 2GB is as big as you can go but don't quote me.

Our D60 used to take

The pictures are blurry due to camera shake, which in itself is caused by the slow shutter speed. Try using shake reduction setting. To increase the shutter speed, raise the ISO rating.

Nikon D60 now shows warning: "Memory card is locked. Slide to 'write' position." I find no button or anything to slide. Please advise. Thanks so much, Bob

There is a tiny slider switch on the memory card, move it to the unlock position.

D60 flash won't pop up

Please set the MODE to P (Programmed Auto) In this mode YOU control the flash, not the camera. Inside where it is not bright. Set your ISO to 800 and take a photo indoors with low light. Then pop up the flash and do it again. P lets you take a photo with the flash down or UP it is the only mode I suggest most people should use. :)

A Nikon camera D60

Hi, All you said is that you have a Nikon D60. I can't help you if you do not ask a question. 1) WHAT IS YOUR QUESTION? 2) Which lens or lenses do you have? 3) Tell me ALL of the details surrounding the equipment failure or your question(s)?

My focus assist light remains on.

Did you recharge the battery? USB voltage is fixed at 5V. See if you can put the battery in and charge it without any computer involved. I fear that more than 5V was put into the camera and it may be badly damaged. I am not sure this is a guess.

My D60 will take a picture and then there is a long delay before the image loads on the LCD screen. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Look for "Noise Reduction" and "Active D-Lighting". Turn those to off individually and you'll see which one makes the most difference. Turn both off and you'll be able to shoot like mad. See page 55 and 178 of D60 owners manual to turn on and off. TC

D60 will not turn on - why?

If the camera has only been off for a few months, I would recommend that you take the camera and the battery to a camera shop, verify that the current battery is holding a charge and then check the camera with another battery.

Sd card won't click into place on my Nikon d60

Check your SD card, there may be a piece of it missing. Did the same to my camera and looking into the card holder, there was a piece of SD card lying at th bottom! (I used a needle to dislodge it!)

*Error. Press shutter release button again. This message appears on screen. Will no longer take pictures. Recommendations?

I recommend to bring to any local repair shop or Nikon USA. Local repair shop would charge cheaper, because the they only will change the defective motor instead of ass\'y. Price would be very like $70 to $215.

Nunca he conseguido un mensaje "vuelva a intentarlo".
