you are not suppose to clean the sensor ribbon with water... it might damage the printer...however what you can do is you can clean it with a lint free cloth which should be dry..connect the printer directly to the wall outlet...what you can do is unplug the printer from the back of the printer without turning the product off... then press and hold the power button for 30 sec... and then re plug it back in... check if that helps...if it does not work please contact hp...

No, it cannot. I tested it on an HP DeskJet F2430. The HP56will not fit in the HP60 carrier.

Switch the printer off.Press and hold the green button on your printer and turn the printer on. You will see that the lights flash for a moment and then turn off. After a few seconds, the attention light will turn on followed by ready light and the green light. Keep pressing the green button. In a few seconds, the attention light and the ready light will turn off.Push the toner rotate button while you continue pressing the green button. I would recommend removing the cartridge from the printer and wiping down the contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer with a piece of kitchen tissue. If the cartridge is still not recognised, it is most likely to be a problem with the cartridge. Try replacing the ink cartridge.

Go to printer and Fax from Control Panel, right click on Icon and set printer online. Make sure printer is on and connected directly to computer as well.
