How to print cd covers with HP Photosmart

hi Justchuck69. You can use the software that came with your HP Photosmart all-in-one printer to create CD covers and then print them on the discs. For this to work, the CD must be printable, and you shouldn't use CDs that have their manufacturer, size and speed already printed on them. You must use the latest HP software to create and print the covers. If you can't find the installation disc that came with your printer, download the latest version of the software from HP's Support website. 1 Launch the HP Solution Center that was installed on your computer when you installed the HPsoftware. 2 Click the "View Library" button to open the photo library and then select the folder that contains the images you want to use for your CD cover from the left pane. Click the "Add This Folder" to add the folder to the library. You can only use photos from the library to create the CD cover. 3 Click the "Back" arrow near the top of the window to return to the Welcome screen. 4 Click the "Create" button, choose "Disc Labels," and then click either "Standard CD" if you want to print on a standard CD or "Mini CD" if you want to print on a mini CD. Click "Choose This Format." 5 Choose a design from the list of designs, and then click the "Choose This Design" button. 6 Select the photo or photos you want to print on your CD, and then click the "Add These Photos" button. 7 Use the controls in the Edit Your Disc Label section to zoom, rotate and reposition the photo. Click the text boxes and type or paste some text, if you want to add text to the label. Click "Create" when you're satisfied with the result. 8 Select the HP Photosmart printer from the "Printer" drop-down box, and then ensure the "Standard Sizes" option is selected. 9 Click the "Print" button when you're ready to print the cover on the CD. The "Open CD/DVD Tray" message is displayed on the printer's LCD. 10 Pull the CD/DVD tab below the main tray to remove the CD holder, and then place the disc on the ring of the CD holder with its print-side up. Gently press on the CD until it snaps into place. 11 Lower the CD/DVD tray located just below the control panel, and then insert the CD holder into the tray. The printer starts printing as soon as the white lines on the tray and holder match up. 12 Wait until the printing process is complete, remove the CD holder from the tray, let the ink on the CD dry for a few minutes, and then remove the disc from the holder. 13 Close the CD/DVD tray, and then insert the CD holder back into the storage space. Tips
  • checkPhoto Creations, the latest software from HP, does not support printing CD labels. HP Photosmart Essential is available for download from HP's FTP website (link in Resources).
  • checkThe back of the HP all-in-one printer must be at least three inches away from the wall or other objects.
  • checkIf you use a small CD, don't forget to flip the holder ring over the disc before you snap the CD holder into place.
  • checkYou can add additional folders to HP Photosmart Essential if you can't find the photos you want to print on the CD.
  • checkYou can bold or italicize the text when you type it, but you can't choose a different font or change the size of the text.
  • checkAlternatively, you can use a free third-party utility to create the CD cover and then print it on the disc.
Warnings
  • closeDon't turn off or unplug the printer from the computer while it prints the CD cover.

HP Photosmart B210a error message

Simple. Remove the ink and printhead. You can remove printhead by pulling gray latch up and sliding printhead up and out. Clean printhead gunk off using warm running water. Remove any ink gunk on the right side of printer if you see any. Turn printer off and on. See if problem went away. If it did, try putting the cleaned printhead inside printer again. If problem comes back, seems like the issue is with a bad printhead. Below are video instructions on cleaning head manually. The printheads are not same. B210 printhead is not the same with HP 6500, but instructions are same. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/alex_22751bbefa74c3d0

Attempts to print on HP Deskjet F4280 shut down my programs

Sounds like the drivers are not installing properly. Are you installing through the CD or downloading the drivers from the HP website. Since a lot of the new drivers are no longer supporting XP you will need to download a scrubber utility and delete all of the pre installed drivers and attempt to reinstall through a manual installation of the drivers.

How can i fix my HP Deskjet F4280 printer, it wont pick paper for printing

Uninstall the printer, delete drivers, look if new drivers are available for it and reintall the printer. If problem continues my guess is that your printer is defective. Printers are made of chep plastic materials and after some use parts get worn out and break down. HP has a so called repair kit available for repair service. If your printer won't pick papaer, quite probably some of these partss is damaged. If you don't know how to repair printers aand dont have access to parts, take it to a repair service.

How to remove torn piece of paper caught inside

The easiest way to clean the paper path if you think you have a jam but cannot see anything is to "floss" the paper path with a heavier piece of paper. Take a narrow piece of heavy paper (inch wide) feed it through the paper path until you can grasp both ends and the move it back and forth carefully so you do not break a sensor by accident.

Why does my HP Deskjet F4280 Show an E in the Start/Copy screen??

Regarding your recent inquiry about the HP 60 cartridge error message ("E in display window") and inability to print with your HP Deskjet F4280 printer, this type of error is normally associated to an electrical connection issue between the printer and the cartridge, or more likely, an internal micro-electronic failure inside the cartridge itself (please note that it is very rare for both ink cartridges to electrically fail at the same time). An electronic failure of the cartridge would be unrelated to the ink cartridge refill process; these same failures can (and frequently do) occur with brand new ink cartridges.* To help identify the root cause, please run the 'Tap 41' cartridge's electrical / diagnostic tests below (refer to B. and C), this will identify which ink cartridge is causing the issue: NOTE: Unfortunately, alignment pages and internal self test prints will usually print Ok even if the cartridge is internally electrically damaged. Do not use these test pages as a proxy for determining whether a cartridge is good or bad, only the 'Tap 41/43' diagnostic test report can yield this information. As a temporary workaround, or if you are unable to determine which cartridge is causing the issue, remove one of the ink cartridges from the printer....this might place the printer into the 'single cartridge printer mode'....print jobs may then be executed from the computer (only): An internal electrical failure of a cartridge can be confirmed by performing the following corrective/diagnostic steps: A.Ensure BOTH carriage/flex cables and BOTH ink cartridge contacts are thoroughly clean before proceeding: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=1519 B.Validate the cartridge's electrical health by running the 'Tap 41' diagnostics test. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TAP 41 video procedure at the following link on how to activate and read the service test: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=440 (HP 60 - Deskjet F2400/F4400/F4500 models)
1.While holding the Power button, press Cancel (X) button 4 times, then press the Color Copy button once. 2.Release the Power button. 3.The 'Tap 41' diagnostic test print should print. http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=444 (HP 60 - Deskjet F4200 model)
1.While holding the Power button, press Cancel (X) button 4 times, then press the 'Resume' button once. 2.Release the Power button. 3.The 'Tap 41' diagnostic test print should print.
--- Providing the color cartridge is partially functioning the Tap 41 diagnostic test print will be printed (this is a forced service print test which is mainly used for the evaluation of ink cartridge electrical health). A good HP 60/60XL color cartridge should display 1248 good nozzles, while a good HP 60/60XL black ink cartridge should show 336 good nozzles. If the results yield anything different then the ink cartridge is likely damaged and will need to be replaced. Refer to 2nd video on how to read the printout. http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=440 (HP 60 - Deskjet F2400/F4400/F4500 models) http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=444 (HP 60 - Deskjet F4200 model) ---- If the printer attempts to print the diagnostic test pattern (1 page) then the printer is generally considered operational and functional, if nothing is printed, but the printer attempts to print the pattern, then the tri-color ink cartridge is either empty, clogged or severely electrically damaged (black ink cartridge is not used). You can remove the tri-color cartridge, reactivate the tap 41 test and the printer will print the diagnostic test print in black ink.
