Both my DSi's screens have

This is the sort of problem commonly associated with devices that have flip or slide up screens.
There is a very thin flat cable which goes from the motherboard to the screen. This cable is called the flex cable. It is responsible for carrying signals from the motherboard to the screen.
When the lights come on and the screen does not display, there could be very limited options that you have to check properly before we can conclude that you might need to see a repairer.
Some of the things you might want to check are
1. Make sure that the screen brightness is not reduced.
2. Make sure that the battery is well charged or even plugged in to charge.
If the above have been checked and it still does the same thing, it is most likely to be flex problem and might require a replacement. In this case, you have to see a technician and have him repair it for you.
It shouldn't be very expensive depending on your location.
Hope this was helpful?

How do i get connect tonintendo wi-fi conection

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. Nintendo Dsi/DS/Ds XL connects to the internet using wireless connection. You need to know the settings of your router. I've listed below the steps on how you will access the router and to obtain the information needed for you to be connected.

How to access the Router:

1. You need to know the ipaddress of your router. You can refer to the manual or check the Default Gateway of your computer (Make sure that you connect the computer to the router using an ethernet cable for you to get the Default Gateway). Click on START then RUN. Type CMD on the small box on the lower left of the screen. Type IPCONFIG on the black window and get the value of your DEFAULT GATEWAY (it starts with 192.168.x.x)

2. Open a Browser, Type the DEFAULT GATEWAY on the address bar of your Browser. It will ask you for a username and password. (Refer to the manual of your router or post a reply so that i can provide you the username and password of your router)

3. Go to the Wireless Settings Page of your router. Look for the SSID or the Network Name and theNetwork Key or Passphrase. You can personalize it so that you can easily remeber the details.

4. Make sure you connect to your SSID and enter the Network Key to make it secure.

Now that we already know the setting of the router then its now time to connect the Dsi to the network.

1. Go to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings of the Game

2. Search for an Access Point (SSID)

3. Select your Network (SSID), If you have an open network, just click "OK" and it should work just fine! If it's a Red Padlock, it'll prompt you for a Password or Network Key. This is the reson why we access the router.

4. Test the Connection.

Thanks for using Fixya.

I put in the wep key put it doesnt let me in wifi

The Nintendo DS only supports certain types of Wireless Security, the Nintendo site specifies what version DS supports what versions of Wifi Security

An SSID is the name of your wireless network, so it's what you see when you try to connect to a wireless network at your home

to put in Wifi manually you have to put in the SSID, Wireless password, and depending on if your router is set up as manual or automatic, you may have to put in your IP Address and Subnet mask and finally you need to put in a primary DNS server, your primary DNS server IP Address is the IP Address of your router.

Pokemon wifi error code51099

Look on your ds pokemon game. go under where it says "new game" and it will say Nintendo wifi settings. Choose your network. If the error shows up again, try going closer to the wireless router. That should resolve your problem.
You can also try resetting your router, and changing the security settings of it from WPA to WEP. Though it should be noted that WEP has very little security, but is the preferred DS connection method.

My ds lite wont connect to our internet i have a

WPA and WPA2 are not supported by the DS Lite, only WEP and unencrypted wifi connections are. There is no known way at the moment to make the DS Lite support WPA of any form so your only three options are to go to WEP encryption, use no encryption (not recommended), or set up an adhoc connection on a computer with that is connected to your router that has internet connection sharing enabled.

you could try a tweezer or a very small screwdriver. they are kinda fragile tho. If you are comfortable you could but a new slot 1 socket online (their <$5 on ebay) but i'm pretty sure there is some soldering involved so consulting a professional may be best.
