I recently got a DSTT and once I started it all the games worked perfectly. Then once I put on the game Chrono Trigger with its patch, all my games were erased. It said that my micro sd was to be formatted so I formatted it. Then when I played the games I wanted to play (ex. Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, Ninja Town, Trauma Center Under The Knife 2, etc.), they all said the same exact thing. They said:
[Rom loading failed]
load rom errcode=-7
Please reset system
I really don't understand, but when I play most of the other games, they work perfectly fine like Kirby Canvas Curse or something. Most of the others don't work at all while some do. It's all very strange to me. Some of the games that used to work are now inoperable. Please Help.
Make sure all of your firmware is updated. There should be a 1.17 firmware for it. I heard from a bunch of my friends who had firmware 1.16 or lower that they all got the new one and they all work perfectly fine. Try it. Here it here.

When I turn on my DS, I have on the screen a msg EDGE.DAT tidak menemukan! Can you solve it?
'Kay...
I just got that problem too.
"Edge.dat tidak menemukan" means that "Edge.dat cannot be found".
There's a way to fix it.
1) Check your Microsd Card
2) Redownload the EDGE or iEDGE
EDGE: http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/dl.php/EDGE_OS_v2.0.rar
iEDGE:
http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/dls/iEDGE_OS_v2.0.rar
3) Then, you will see an books icon, right click and choose "Extract Here".
4) When done... you'll have:
5) Then You copy it to the Micro Card. Edge.dat must not be inside a folder on the card.
6) Then finish.
( I hope it help. Sorry if my tutorial isn't clear -_-. Cuz my English are pretty bad T_T)

nintendo ds lite not reading games cards My ds will not read the games, it shows that ther e is not a game inserted. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks
I think your responses are elementary and people are looking for propable diagnostics in a whole, not, "send it in to Nintendo". No S**T! Do you think they'd repair it for you? Come on people the point of this site is for people to work together to become more self reliant in fixing our products ourselves and stop throwing away electronics just because there is a bad fuse or something. I can't believe that 4 people said "blow air in it". !?

My son changed the language on his Lego Indiana Jones game to German and we can't change it back. We changed the language to English on the unit itself using the menu, but the game is still in German. Any ideas how to get it back to ENglish?
Load up the game and do the following.
1. At the main menu choose the 3rd option "Optionen".
2. Then 3rd down "Sprache".
3. And "English".
4. Enjoy your English Indy.

hi, my ds lite charges fine. however, when i try to turn it on, nothing happens...
the green light doesn't even flash.
i have done a continuity test on both fuses f1 and f2, and they both seems fine.
L2 inductor also seems fine...
don't really know what the problem is.
please help.
Hi. Same thing happened to one of my friend's own. Also, when I shook it, I could hear
a slight rattle inside as if a small piece had broken off. I took it
apart and found that a small surface mount inductor had come off (it
was right by the on/off switch I believe). I was able to get it
soldered back on and added some glue for mechanical strength (since my
solder wasn't as good as original). This worked a while but it came off
again and I could never get it to stick and function again. Just
shorting the terminals with wire didn't work, it needs at least some
'L' impedance. So, I tried making my own. I took a very small wire-wrap
wire I had from my old college days, and wound it around a paperclip
about 10times, solder the ends on, and then removed the clip. (think of
tiny spool of wire with each end connected to solder pads). Believe or
not, it worked and has been fine ever since. Apparently the tolerance
for this circuit is pretty loose. FWIW.
Good luck. A fun project either way before giving up.
Take care

the access point's security settings are not supported by the nintendo DS
This means you've got a WPA/2 security connection on your router/access point, whereas the Nintendo DS only supports WEP or open encryption.
You can:
1) change your security from WPA to WEP on your router
2) Purchase a used nintendo wifi stick
3) Set up a second router or access point with WEP security specifically for your DS
