This issue could be with the video card that is integrated on the motherboard.
However, to isolate the issue with software or hardware please follow the steps below :

1. Disconnect the ac adapter and remove the battery from the laptop
2. press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
3. replace the battery and connect the ac adapter
4, turn on the laptop and check

if the issue persists then remove and replace the memory modules and check for the issue.


If the issue still persists then it could be a hardware issue and your laptop needs to be serviced.

If you are using vista, try using startup repair
If you are using xp, try repair your pc using a cd

If the notebook does not charge even after replacing it with new battery and checking with several chargers then it is laptop power jack issue.
You may need to replace it. However to confirm the issue is with power jack just remove the battery and try to power on the notebook only with AC adapter. If it does not then it is the power jack which is allowing the ac power to be charged.

Based on my experience troubleshooting such kinds of problems, you will need to get the motherboard out of the case to be able to replace or tighten the power connector.

The wireless button is also the indicator light to the left of the power button. This confused me for a while too!

Go to the manufacturer website and see if they have windows XP drivers if not it may not work.

unplug ur router and try it again

go to start>run
type services.msc
go to services.msc
check sound service if its is enabled or not
if its not enabled then right click on service
select properties and start the service
still if its not working download sound drivers again.

You may be running too many programs in the background which can heat up a processor pretty well. You may also have a virus which overtaxes a processor. Also, always make sure that the heat vent in the back of the pc is well vented and not obstructed, and NEVER have the pc placed on something like a bed, blanket, or pillow
OK, Do this;
These are the steps that you need to take, and the instructions on how to do it:
1. Reboot into Safemode
2. Run a virus and spyware scanner while in safemode
3. Defrag
4. Scandisk
5. Registry error repairing while in safemode
6.Reboot into regular mode windows

Here is how to do it:
Reboot yor machine while holding the F8 key right as it boots back up. A menu will apear. Choose -->"start windows in safe mode with networking".
Windows will start in safe mode. Run an AVG virus scan, then run Defrag by exploring your computer, right click on C: drive, click PROPERTIES, then the TOOLS tab, click the "check now" button, and only checkmark the top box 'fix file system errors', then click ok, the computer will then tell you it will scan upon next reboot., Now click the DEFRAG NOW button. the choose defrag. After Defrag runs for about an hour and it is finished, restart the system. If is still won't run normally, go back into Safemode buy pressing F8 on reboot, then run a registry fixing program such as uniblue registrybooster, then reboot again. If it still won't run right, you may want to reinstall Windows and see if that works. If reinstalling windows doesn't fix it, it may be a hardware problem.

Hi, Well you can change with te compatible motherboard but it will not be giving you the exact performance and it is risky to replace laptop motherboard with another motherboard. Try to replace it with the original vendor because there are brands which says that these are compatible but often they are not compatible to each other so i will advice you to go for the original vendor and not for the other vendor.

Every laptop comes with a key that shifts video. Look for a key with a box(in the function key line). Now holding down the Fn key, tap the other key until you get the display.
