You're headphones are probably shot. And if you've tried replacing them and there still is no sound, then the inside of your device is fried. I would give serious consideration, if this is the case, in replacing your device. Hope this helps!!!!

Use Emodio, and emodio.com. Its better than the samsung program anyway. You can get them both at the samsung site, just look up by your model number and go under the pic and click the software tab

hi! i had a cracked screen too the only way i could repair it is to send to samsung they repair it free! if it broke on physical use then they will charge u.

try the reset button on the back, if that fails virus scan your computer, maybe you got a corrupted file on there i dont know what you have wrong with it. but you can always contact samsung. samsung will probably be able to help you out with it. its a software problem i believe. so dont do anything with it. as that might make the problem worse. contact me if you have any questions and my qualifications are not really existing.

Turn off the player and let charge for about 4 hrs via USB port. This will charge the battery.

To upload songs to the player plug in to USB port and look for the removable drive through my computer or windows explorer. drag and drop MP3s into to removable drive window.

HEYY. okay. mine did the exact same thing but i took a toothpick and pressed the "reset" button on the back of the player. after i hit it once or twice, i tried turning it on and it worked.

If you look on the back there is a pin sized (or bigger) hole on the back with the word (really small.) restart. just hit it

This was also my problem before. What I did was, I plugged the P2 in the computer, then it showed the charging sign. Then I did the safety remove and when I turned it back on, it work again.

If this solution does not work, you could ask the repair section.

Usually when it is locked you need to put in the 4 digit asscode that was inserted or you need to call the samsung help which is 1-800-726-7864

The video formats have to be in .svi thats the only format the player can pick up, emodio or the media player should do this. If not you could try to download a file converter and convert them into the right format maybe.

no not unless you still got it all on your computer, when you format it clears the whole memopry and just leaves your firmware...you jsut need to re install it.... ya it is stupid xD

Alright well the way that you put music on the samsung yp p2 is you put in the installation cd. Then go to my computer and something should pop up that says samsung cd installation or something like that. When that opens up, you will see which programs you want to install and click on the best buy digital music store. They have a thirty day free trial but ifyou want to put the music on a cd then you will have to pay for it. It is possible to download text files onto the Samsung Yp-P2.
You can use the Samsung Media Studio to download the document onto the device. The only format I know works for sure is *.txt, haven't tried other formats

I had the same problem!

But I found the fix for it after much searching.

First, download the latest firmware directly to your computer's desktop from the Samsung website: http://tinyurl.com/3j4su4

The file is a Zip one so : make sure you extract the 2 files to your desktop!

-Connect your P2 to your computer and go to My Computer.
-Double click the YP2 icon.
-Copy the 2 extracted files from your desktop into the open window. (Do not put them in an already existant folder).
-Unplug the connection from your computer and restart your player.
It will do an update and shut down. Restart it a second time and it will finish the second update.
- There you go, it should work no problem.

The firmware update from having your player connected to the Samsung Media Studio 5 for some reason doesn't work properly.
By doing in manually it works just fine.

The update link I provided is for a US based player.
Just go through the Samsung site to find an update for other contries if you need too and follow the same directions I give above to solve your issues.
