Keurig Platinum B70 Coffee Maker - Page 6 Questions & Answers
My keurig does not have water come out into the cup
1. always a dumb question but I have forgotten this more than once so I have to ask, does it have water in the basin?
2. A common issue with keurig's I've owned has been that some finer ground coffees will clog the spray nozzle that pokes into the top of your kcup. It's kind of a pain to clean, but if you are really careful it can be done with a very small jeweler's screwdriver.
UNPLUG THE KEURIG
lift the lid and find the groove that allows water to flow from the nozzle.
VERY GENTLY run the screwdriver across that groove being careful not to damage the nozzle by vigorous scraping. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PUT THE SCREWDRIVER OR ANYTHING ELSE INTO THE OPENING.
Replace the water in the basin and try with a new kcup.
What causes coffee brewer to brew slow or not make whole cup?
Fill your water reservoir halfway with white vinegar and run several brewing cycles with no K-cups to get rid of the vinegar and then rinse out the reservoir, fill with water, and run enough brewing cycles to empty the water reservoir again. This will get rid of the vinegar-you don't want any leftover vinegar ruining your next cup of coffee.
This routine will take around 15-20 minutes but you don't have to do it very often. I'd say maybe once a season if you use the machine everyday; less so if it's only used occasionally.

Push the 2 buttons next to menu at the same time then press menu while holding the 2 buttons and wait for the lights to blink. You just reset your keurig. Turn back on and enjoy your hava.
Keurig coffee maker won't draw water from the resevoir
I just got mine to work by forcing water into the pump to force it to prime. I took a syringe for a meat injector and built a gasket so it would seal over the water intake. Then I forced several syringes of water into the pump till it finally picked up and caught its prime.
What needs to be replaced? Keurig B70 apart with inst from net
Dear Anonymous,
I am going to tell you two things. First, how to best repair your Keurig. Second, and more importantly, to reassemble your Keurig and take it back to BBB for a free exchange on a new one.
There are two main components that go bad on a Keurig. The air pump motor and the solenoid located directly above the power transformer. These two components will eventually fail on every Keurig ever made. To see why this is and how to repair them go to You Tube and search "Keurig Operation and Repair- Part 6". This will tell you how to repair the unit. If you need more information, watch Part 5 too.
However, there is an easier way to fix your Keurig and that is to return it to Bed, Bath & Beyond for a brand new unit. Returning is much easier that repairing. If you want more information on how to do this send me a quick email and I will send you the information on how to do it. My email is
[email protected]. I have helped hundreds of people do this.
I am descaling my Keurig for the 2nd time, it fills 2 cups w/vinegar and stops and won' start again, tells me its ready, help
A. Prepare
Step 1: Make sure you have 48 ounces of white vinegar on hand. You will also need an empty sink and a ceramic mug (Do not use a paper cup.)
Step 2: Empty the water in the water reservoir
B. Fill and Clean
Step 1: Pour the vinegar into the water reservoir and fill it to the top edge of the clear viewing area.
Step 2: Place a ceramic cup in the drip tray and run a brew cycle. DO NOT USE A K-CUP...just press the large cup button. Pour the contents of the cup into the sink.
Step 3: Repeat the brew process until the water reservoir is empty, pouring the contents of the cup into the sink after each cycle. Remember to open and close the lid between each cycle.
Step 4: Now fill the reservoir with fresh water and let the brewer stand for 4-hours while it is still on.
C. Rinse
Step 1: Ensure the water reservoir is filled with fresh water.
Step 2: Place a ceramic cup on the drip tray and run a regular brew cycle. Once again, DO NOT USE A K-CUP...Pour the contents of the cup into the sink.
Step 3: Repeat the brew process until the water reservoir is empty.
Step 4: You may need to perform additional brew cycles if you notice any residual taste.
How do you get screen to turn blue..not heating up
Not to sound stupid, but there is an on-off switch on the back of the B70. Have you switched it on? If this switch is off the blue screen will not turn on. If it switched on, then you have much bigger problems.
Leaks
Sorry to tell youbthis but the storage tank is corroded through. Call Keurig, they have excellent service. They may replace it for you. but your keurig is not fixable unless you want to find a sparevtank and DIY.
Not brewing large
Hello Derek, unfortunately I believe you have a bad control board on your Keurig. This is not a mechanical issue or a descaling issue. You could find a new or used control board on ebay and replace it, but it is a real pain to make this repair (believe me, I have done it). Your best alternative is to return it to Bed Bath & Beyond for a free exchange on a new K75. You did not have to purchase it there and no receipt required. You will be in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes. If you need more information on how to do this, I will give you further information on how this is done. Regards, Tom
