Not to be coy, but the best way to repair this problem is to take your Keurig back to Bed Bath & Beyond and exchange it for a brand new one!
As for your problem, your description was not detailed, but I would guess that the leak you are referring to is not coming out of the reservoir at all, but is actually coming from the bottom of your machine. The reason for this is that there is a solenoid located in the back of the unit that is notorious for leaking over time. The only way to repair it is to completely disassemble the unit and replace it. This solenoid is also responsible for your Keurig to "short-cup" you, meaning your Keurig brews, but you only get a partial cup of coffee. If your unit has not done this yet, it will start shortly.
So back to what I said at the beginning, your best option is to simply return it to BBB for a new one. You do not need a receipt, nor have had purchased it there in the first place. If you are interested in this option (& I highly recommend it), please send me an email at
[email protected]. And I will send you al the information you need on how to return it for free. If you decide to send me an email to learn about this, please let me know in the email that you were from Fixya.com. If you want to know more about why the Keurig leaks and how to repair it, please search You Tube for my video series call Keurig Operation and Repair. It's long, tedious and extremely boring, but skip around and then send me an email. You will be happy you did. Good luck and IO hope this helps.
