I also suggest you remove the back door & clean the wheels with a clean no lint water dampend rag. Replace the door.

Print stops printing "blue" after first 1/3 of image is printed.

A good self test page indicates that the printer and print cartridges are functioning properly. Something else is causing the print quality problem

Cannot remember how to load

keep the printer ON.then open the flap on the front side.there is a small gap made in the flap to get it opened.as u open the flap the cartridges will automatically move and come in the position where u can remove the cartridges.just pull the cartridge to the dwn side near to you and it will come out.in the same way insert the new cartridge.

Did you get printer issue resloved?

Hello, well, several users have been kind enough to offer advice regarding this problem. The only thing that really seems to work at all is slamming the cover with a bit of force. Of course, please don't use to much force here. It seems that closing the cover is supposed to trigger a mechanism that will let the printer know. Apparently this mechanism is defective on the HP photosmart. So you just need to make your point with a bit of force when closing that cover. It may take a couple of tries, but it seems to work.

Hope that helps!

Message keeps saying "Cover is Open"

I have had this problem also and have found that instead of "dropping the cover hard" I can just give the "sensor area" on the left side of the cover a sharp rap with my finger and the light goes off.

If you are using windows XP for the operating system try this.

In the printers and faxes window right click once on you're default printer HP 5160 slide to & left click properties. In the next window click the button, printing preferences. Blank page

I would take look at printer settings to see if this is an optional feature; some printers I've had offered to insert a 'separator sheet' which sounds a lot like your 'problem.'

Open the Control Panel, find and open (whatever your Win version has named it) the printer function, find the D5160 (there might be others listed), right-click on it, select Properties from the menu and go through the tabs to see if you find functions listed that might affect your wasted sheet problem.

If you find nothing there, I suggest you check to see if there is a more current driver you can install.
If not, UNinstall the current driver, shut down your system leaving the printer on, turn your system back on which should force Windows to reinstall the existing driver.

That unwanted form feed you are getting only requires a couple of bits sent to the printer to activate.

Problem on printing

Remove the black cartridge, look very closely for any scratches on the contacts. Also check inside of the ink holder. Even fingerprints can stop the hp from seeing the cartridge.
Make sure you follow these instructions from HP here.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00042467&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=1155996&dlc=en&lang=en
And this happends, sometimes a new cartridge can be bad right out of the box. This has happend to me too.

Looking for the link in an answer to an old Ask?

No, that is telling you that the website that was linked has removed the information. Everything stays on Fixya forever. This seems to be about and HP Printer rather than 'Computers and Internet'. https://www.google.com/search?q=3210+all+in+one+has+a+Error%3A0xc2fe0100+and+438+BOARD_pwr.c Use Google and do this in full make model (one error message) Then do the same with the other error message ..
