Attention light blinks after jam

Hi,
most of the HP printers will detect the paper jam and will provide you with help window automatically to rectify the problem. If paper gets jammed, just remove it from backside and then turn off the printer and power it on. cancel any pending printing documents. Everything have to become normal. If it not, try restarting your system too.
I hope its helpful to you

Hp d5160 printer wont switch on cables are ok

If your sure that your power module is good and the printer isn't turning on, then make sure at least you have the printer hooked up to a wall outlet that is working properly, this is just to be sure that the outlet isnt bad.

If you do that and the printer won't turn on then the power board in the printer is bad and you would have to get another printer.

Blinking red light, unable to turn off or print

From the looks of your printer. I'd say that one of your ink has a problem. The part where you put the cartridge in, is where your problem lies. YOu'll prob need to get it checked out by an HP dealer.

try changing the ink cartridge and see if that helps.

THE EXLAMATION MARK AT THE TOP OF THE PRINTER IS FLASHING AND THERE IS A LINE GOING AROUND THE SCREEN ON THE DISPLAY PANEL, THE PRINTER WILL NOT RESPOND TO ANYTHING, THANKS

there is a flag switch located to the left hand side of the top cover that causes this issue
if you look at the left hand lip of the top cover, you should note that it does not meet flush with the top of the control panel, there is a cutout for the lever for the flag switch that appears to not move as smoothly as designed, my guess is a mismounted switched or a misaligned axle for the switch

you can actually access the switch lever itself when the top cover is open, just reach in and wiggle it until it depresses properly, you may have to do this (or at least check it) every time you open the top cover

I do not know what is wrong with my parents

uninstall the ssoftware and goto hp.com select the tab that says support and drivers and then download the software for your printer and install it and now see your printer should work.
However if your printer is not powering on connect the printer directly to the walljack without the surge protector and if this still does not work then you definitly need to call hp at 1800-474-6836 so we can replace your printer or fix it within 30 mins

Please help me. I

I spent a week figuring this answer out. First Do not use the supplied software from HP for this, unless simple text is okay for you. I personally found the software to try to do everything, but nothing well. If you have even a modest image application: Gimp, Photoshop, etc, create a new image at 4.5 inches x 4.5 inches. Set the ppi to 150 at least, 300 for High Quality and create you 'label' there, then go to print.
1. in print dialog box choose 'Preferences'
2. then choose 'printing shortcuts'
3. then choose 'print on CD/DVD' (DVD icon)
(confirm in papersize on right that you are printing on a cd/dvd)

4Then pull down your CD/DVD tray flap on the HP printer and load up a CD to print on. Align it to the arrows, then press print.

As long as the image is 4.5" x 4.5" it will fill the DVD perfectly --especially if you download a 'Mask' template from any printer --which you could google to find one, but it is just to give you an Idea of your 'safe print' zones, and will really come in handy for high quality labels-- don't for get to turn off that 'mask' just before saving--if it's black, or better yet, make it white, then when you save the final image it will create a beautiful white circular edge on the image so that you can better preview and so that you won't waste ink!
