http://192.168.254.254/brgmode.html ...or if they have the gay firmware >.> go to http://speedstream/brgmode.html then click apply....now set your router to log in with your user information with a PPOE login...if your like me and using the dlg-4500 just go to setup and do internet wizard to set up easily...then your ready to go... it can take up to 10 minutes for your router to configure so give it time..and if it doesn't seem like it's working in that time...try cycling your power then check again...and if still not working, do a hard reset (hold reset till lights alternat from green to red) to reset to factor default (do it for your router too becfause it will still be set to sign into your isp for you)

Siemens 4200 modem won't connect to internet
First unplug the power cable from your modem. Then press and hold the power button
of your modem for at least 1 minute. Then plug in the the power cable and wait until all the lights become stable. Then you can try to go online to check. If after this step you will not be able to go online then contact with your ISP provider. The internet is working fine
Hi! For the problem your describing, it seems that your problem may be faulty hardware. I've found that the router that your ISP (internet company) provides to you when they setup your internet don't tend to be the most reliable and highest quality, but Siemens is a pretty big name. One thing I would try, which Windstream may have talked you through, is resetting your router. This will reset your router and WiFi, which means the name of your WiFi will be reset, including your password.
Look on the back of the router. You will see 5 different ports back there: DSL, Reset, USB, Ethernet, AC/DC, and I/O. You're looking at the reset button. You need a pencil or something thin. Stick the pencil inside to the reset button, and continue pressing the reset button for 5-10 seconds. Your router is now reset. Now, see if your problem persists.
If your problem does persist, most likely your problem is a faulty router. In that case, I would call/contact the hardware manufacturer, Siemens, and see what they have to say.

What to do if dsl light is blinking
This likely means that your DSL modem is not trained up with the DSLAM. - Geek talk for your modem is not connected to the phone company's equipment properly.
1.) Remove power from the modem
2.) Remove all devices (including the DSL modem) from all phone jacks in the house.
3.) Add the DSL line back to the wall jack, taking care to plug the wall jack into the correct jack on the DSL line. (Do not use a DSL filter on your modem!)
4.) Power up the modem/
Still not working? Continue...
5.) Try a different phone jack
6.) Try a new phone cable between the wall jack and modem
7.) Call the phone company for further assistance.

Connect to router
There are plenty of good routers to pick from, but the choice you make depends on more than your DSL modem and computer. It depends on your wireless network needs.
What kind of structure are you working in?
How many floors do you need coverage on?
Do you plan to play any multiplayer online games?
Do you plan to stream video or audio media on your network?
Do you need to setup access to your network from the internet?
How important is your network's security?
All of these factors are key in deciding the best solution.
Cheap is never the best deciding factor. The average cost for a decent reliable router will range in price from $50 to $150 depending on features.

Do i have to instal to get fast internet or just
The picture showing here looks like a speed stream modem. You will need to install your ISP software so the system knows you have an account with them (if this is a new service for you). If you've had the service for a while, but had your computer worked on, as long as all the ports work, you should be able to just plug and go. Your username and password for your ISP (Internet Service Provider) are memorized inside the modem, so as long as you haven't shut it off, you shouldn't have a problem.
