PASSWORD ROUTER LINKSYS

LOST ROUTER LOGIN PASSWORD If you have forgotten your personal router login password there is no way to recover it. You will have to reset the router. This means all the settings on the router will be reset to factory defaults. It also means that all your connected devices will need to be connected again with the new security information (WEP, WAP, etc,) . You will need the default admin login name and the default admin password. This can be found in the user guide that came with the router. This can usually be found online at the router manufacturers site. There is usually a button or a switch hidden in a pinhole opening on the back of the router. Pressing and holding the switch for 10 seconds or so will cause the reset and usually the LEDs will flash and blink for several seconds as the router firmware resets and clears out the old information. If you are trying to get into someone else's router illegally there is no way to find out their login password. For future reference, write the password down, or a hint at what the password is, on a piece of tape and secure it on the bottom of the router. I use my cell phone memo function to store all my passwords. Linksys Home Networking

IP Address Errors

It sounds like you may be having IP address conflicts. Many Xbox users have a fixed IP address set in their unit and then have a Port Forwarding done in the router to provide faster play. If you reset the router all this is lost. Then what can happen is that the router will assign a device the reserved IP address of the Xbox. When you turn the Xbox on, then it cannot connect as there is another device already assigned that address. Reconfiguration is required to prevent IP conflicts.

I can't see my wrt54g router with my acer aspire laptop

Check your Acer has the wireless device and driver been installed. If so then - To connect your computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh network list, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connect to your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Key before allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This Network Key is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used to configure the Wireless Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way to setup the Encryption key. When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrase that was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router. http://www.fixya.com/support/r5270415-network_password_network_address For information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in the laptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Driver router linksys

You do not have to use the cd or driver.Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider. If you have DSL, the router needs to be configured with PPOe. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/joe_8b8c2cd6ce148309

How do i find my network key for my router lynksys wirelass wrt54gs

Try the following procedure on a computer that's directly connected to one of the router ports with an ethernet cable. This procedure will not work if you're connected wirelessly. Open a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, and type in http:192.168.1.1. A window should pop up asking for a user name and a password. Don't enter a user name and type admin for the password. Hit ok. The router setup screen should come up. Click on the Wireless tab and then the Wireless Security sub-tab. You should be able to see your present wireless network security key on this screen. You can also use this screen to change the key if you want. If you want to make some changes first select the security mode you want to use. I believe WPA gives better security but I've had some trouble using it on older computers. I use WEP. I've been able to get this encryption scheme to work with all of my computers. Next select the type of encryption. I like 128 bit 26 hex digits. Next enter a pass phrase and hit generate. The pass phrase is like a password. It should now generate four 26 character keys made up of various letters and numbers. Write down the first key and make sure you've checked the 1 box for default transmit key. Save your setting and exit. You wireless network is now secure. If you try to connect to it using a wireless device you will be prompted for a security key. Depending on the operating system you're running, you may just be able to enter the pass phrase or you may need to enter the 26 character key you wrote down. You should only have to do this once for each of your wireless devices. After the first time they connect to the secured network they should automatically remember the security code. I hope this advice helps you out.

I need a pin number for my Linksys wireless-G

The sticker on the bottom of the router will have a symbol more than likely that looks like the 2 arrows on the top. When you are looking at the sticker that has the MAC ID, there should be one that has that symbol and is just 7-10 numbers. That should be the owner Pin it is looking for.

I set up wifi network in my home and forgot the

Unfortunately, no. The only way to access your network again is to reset the router by holding down the reset button on the back (you might need to unplug it, then plug it back in while holding the reset button). That will reset your web interface (navigate to 192.168.1.1 in your browser while connected to the router)'s username and password to some form of the following:

Username: admin
Password: admin
Username: admin
Password: password
Username: admin
Password:

NOTE: The last combination is a blank password.

Once you've entered your router's web utility, you can set up your wireless again. Don't forget to write down the password...I wrote mine on the router itself, because honestly nobody can see it because it's in my house, so I don't have to worry about it being stolen.
