if the sound is not coming from the fan then check the connections of ur lamp, if there is any loose contact in the connection there will occur a sound. also fan will produce some noise if its bearing have some problem. it will work fine but produce noise. the lamp will make noise at the starting time afterwords it will not.

Look into getting a new Power Supply Board. There is a good chance that you have 1 or more faulty capacitors on the PSB.

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV. Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired ofcourse) and found four bulged capacitors on the PSB. Many major electronics companiesPhilips/Magnavox, Sony, Panasonic, and others were sold capacitors that failedin 2-5 years instead of 10-20. Thecapacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in allsorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems. Here are some options for you. 1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$??????? (Is itunder warranty?) Remember, TVs CONTAINHIGH VOLTAGE AND CAN KILL YOU! Do this at your own risk. 2. Open your TV and find PSB. (The board that the power cordplugs into) Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad capsreplace the entire board. The entireboard costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now.They can be found at tv-part.com but supplies are limited. I would definitely shop around though. 3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill. Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourselfit will save you hundreds. This may be your problem. If you determine that it might be. I have a Tip/How TO tutorialon this site that may also help. Itgives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. The tv projection Lamp in the tv now has been in it like 1 1/2 or 2 years, tv in used like 4 or 5 hours a day.When ur colors wheel was destroy and shatter?Yes,it is the tv projection lamp is life are over.

Take the tv back cover out check for loose connections,reconnect all connections tightly and firmly.Check the projection lamp again,might be broken or damage on the move.

it is due to more heat generation in ur board .i will cause serious accidents so repair it fast.

This tv have a colors wheel.The colors wheel is dead.The colors wheel is dying,going to be dead.The tv make loud humming,noisy sounds like a loud fans or motors noises.Also the tv colors flashes black&white or multiple colors pictures and scrambled.Colors wheel replacement is difficult,never done tv repair before.Hire a tv Tech. to replaced the tv colors wheel.

I think Fan 2 is the DMD fan Located behind DMd Moduel its the Board mounted in the Middle Just CK all of the Fans, Lamp Fan,Ballast Fan which is a tiny fan on the Ballast board.
When sitting behind the TV on the right hand side is the Lamp Fan Lamp and Ballast board in the Middle is the DM Aluimmium looking box and on the Left handside is the power supply board.

THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION, IF I am right give me a very helpful vote here and a note, check the ribbon cable----color wheel has two cables--one regular and one orange--look at contacts on orange one--they should face the back of the light engine--it is very possible to put the cable in backwards--common issue.

This tv have a colors wheel,it dead.Make loud motor noises,high pitch squiling noises,have pictures flashes black&white with the pictures.All these are the causes of the colors wheel.The colors wheel is dying and dead is spinning off of it motor axis.The colors wheel,must be replaced.Hire a tv Tech. to do the job.Because it not easy to replaced the colors wheel,u must take out alots of machanical parts even can come to the colors wheel to replaced the colors wheel it self.
