Check that your air filter is fitted properly and then check the spark plugs, you may have got a poor set of plugs-they sometimes fail when under stress ie high revs.

I have a 1999 kawasaki zx6 and i need to get new
z_dogg, you do not need new carbs. Several issues may cause throttle sticking, and all of them are cheaper than a new set of carbs. Introducing a used set of carbs just introduces a new unknown set of potential issues. This approach moves from easiest to most involved solution.First, take apart the throttle at the handlebar. Clean the throttle tube, the part you twist to accelerate, and lubricate the throttle tube and throttle cable with penetrating oil like WD40. To get the lube into the cable I use a finger from a rubber glove with a small hole in the tip, slip it over the cable end and fill it with lube, then let it seep down into the cable. Best results ever. Re-assemble this end and test your results.Second, if it is still sticking, check the cable routing. Often the cables get bent or twisted and cause binding that prevents free release. Make sure the cables are routed with no sharp bends, and the largest curves possible.Third, disconnect the cable from the carbs and move the throttle linkage itself. If it snaps back into place, it is the cable not the carbs. If it does not snap back, lube the linkage at each carburetor while moving it and see if it frees up.Fourth, if it still sticks, you will need to pull the carbs and clean them thoroughly inside. It may be the vacuum slides that are sticking open and keeping it from slowing down. It would be best to invest in a manual to guide you through this process. It can be done with a few cans of carb cleaner and careful handling of the parts. All the best in your repairs!
Need to remove the cam chain on my kawasaki zx6r
Cam chain replacement is a bit complex for a beginner. I don't recommend it. However, I would suggest the best way is to have a service manual at hand.
Go to this site and you can download a free PDF service manual.www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp
The 2005 manual (4th from the bottom), is 11MB. You can go with the '05 manual as the service proceedure is the same as the 1998. The 2002 manual is 80 MB (scanned differently).
Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part and/or the notation "Not Available" is in the description, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx
Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?
How to adjust idel 1996 kawasaki 750 ninga
hi there, it should be a screw on the same mount as your clutch lever, with a seperate cable leading down to the right hand side of the carbs. alternatively, there may be a knurled adjuster on a cable sticking out the side of one of the fairings. hope this is helpful
My 2009 Kawa Vulan 500 LTD fires on one cylinder
with the bike being new you wouldn't think it's the spark plugs, but you must remember that those are the first plugs that motor has had in it. the plugs are always supposed to be changed at the first service. try changing them and see what happens.
