when you drilled out the pilot jet you destroyed it. Even if you have jewelers bits they are to big. One drill bit size is 6 to 10 jet sizes. Replace the pilot jets, you are running WAYYYYY to rich at idle.

Go back and check your work. maybe wrong pads too thick something. just look

According to the Wemoto web site, they look the same (price, measurements and picture) so I would say yes it will fit

Remove and lay spark plug (still connected to wire) on engine. Should see a good spark whwn cranked. Remove fuel, turn petcock on with vacuum pump to the third line (if equipped), should have good flow of fuel. If oil not more than 1 qt down, shouldn't affect it. I would empty the gas and put in frsh, with some cleaner (2 oz Chemtool).

Modern day petrol is rubbish it starts to go stale quickly.you will need to at least drain the carburettors off ,there are drain screws right on the bottom of them ,undo them about two turns and empty them then do them back up and try again. U will need to take the tank off first.

I understand that you have checked the:

• battery - that it is fully charged and that the cables & terminals / connectors are clean and tight;
• fuses - including the 30 Amp main fuse;
• starter relay - there is +12 on the white wire.

Should the above hold true, then the only remaining components to suspect / check would be the always on +12 connectors and/or the ignition switch.
