I have a 2007 zx6.
When you say it does nothing....no lights work at all...or you just can't crank starter?
Are you sure new battery is charged and the Main fuse is okay..should be close to battery.
No chance of rodent damage to wiring while sitting?

Try this manual, it should cover all your needs. Are you sure you have the correct rating fuse in the box, the manual will solve the problem any way. Good luck:

Hello,
My name is David
Hi there David.Well providing that you have now got the correct amount of oil in the engine and it is running fine and not leaking you shoul have no no further issues.
The question whether or not to use synthetic oil is always a difficult one.If the manufacturer suggests it as an alternative well thats fine, you could use it.If however the manufacturer does not suggest the use of then it is not advisable to use that oil.
The break in process on most modern motorcycles is not a big deal and normally is carried out in the first 1000 kms and involves not reving the engine to high rpm for prolonged periods or staying at the same rpm for extended periods.
This probably is not a major issue to worry about and would really only be evident if the engine uses excessive oil.
Okay well I got the bike about a week ago and when
Hi,
Bad news mate, you bought a bike with a blown head cylinder gasket! You should have thoroughly checked the engine and electrical before you pay for it.
That milky choco substance in your engine lubrication is your coolant that seeped into the engine block, that was cause by too much overheating or age.
You should bring that Ninja to your mechanic and have them replace the head/block gasket and do some machining/shaving on the head, be carefull on your speed and temperature it may cause a lot more damage in your piston and crankshaft.
Oil change is a must after you replace the gasket.
Hope that helps you out!
Thanks for using FixYa!
I've got a 1996 Kawasaki
The bike has a bent shift fork. The engine must come out then gets flipped upside down to remove the bottom half of the crankcase. This allows access to the gears and shift forks. The repair is not recommended for the home mechanic. Please rate my answer. Thanks.
Thats not the problem i have spark i just want to
The problem with changing some motorcycle spark plugs is getting a socket to them--once you're able to slip a socket on the plugs, you can usually get an extension into it and a ratchet onto that. However, if you can't get at your spark plugs with a deep socket and regular extension, you might want to get a so-called "wobble extension" that lets you pivot something like 10-15 degrees while still having a solid connection to socket and to ratchet. I have used my 3" wobble extension quite a bit when dealing with motorcycle spark plugs that are deeply recessed. That set-up usually lets me get the socket and extension into the spark plug well in one piece, rather than dropping in a socket and fishing around with an extension to connect it up.
My 2001 zx6r is leaking
Hi,
This is likely to be your head gasket, white smoke from exhaust is oil being burnt.
Oil is leaking from the gasket out to the external area that you can see, it will also be leaking inside to the cylinders causing the smoke.
I have a 1996 xz636r ninja and am having trouble
If you have power to the coils have you checked that it is 12volts ?
If so then for some reason the Igniter is not switching the ground to the coils to produce your spark or it is and there's a break in the wiring/Bad connector or the Igniter is not getting the switching signal from the Pick up coil or again bad wiring/connectors---hope this helps.
How many turns should i
The screw I think you are adjusting is the idle mixture screw, and will only make a differnce at idle
You set at the smoothest idle
.
If power in 1 and 2 is the problem, then there is something else, make sure the carb is clean, the exhaust is not blocked , the air filter is clean and relatively new, valve clearances? are ok, new spark plug , new oil, and then start looking at the jetting.
up to 1\4 throttle -pilot jet
around mid range -needle position
top end -main jet.
try riding with and without choke to get some idea, if it runs better with some choke then it is lean
I need to change my
If you have a helper, you can have them apply the brake and maintain the fluid level while you bleed the old fluid off. If you don't have help, you can use a hand vacuum pump at the bleeder to draw out the old fluid while ensuring the fluid resivoir is kept full untill you see the new fluid coming through.
Hi av got a zx6r
When you first accelerate the carby injects extra fuel for take off, from the accelerator pump, if this is blocked than you will have a flat spot, which is what you are describing, you need to get the carburettors off and have them checked/serviced/cleaned, if your bike was injected than dirty injectors would give you the same problem.
I have a 2004 kawasaki
Follow the red (Positive) battery cable out away from the battery, you will find the main starter relay and with this relay is a main fuse under a plastic cover to the side. Check this fuse, if this fuse is ok. You need to check your wiring to/from the key switch. You can check the battery connection with a short wire and jump across the starter relay. Jump across the two large post of the relay. If the battery is hooked up and hot, the starter will turn. if all this is ok, you have a main harness problem. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.
My bike ran fine last
try a new oil pressure sender.
other problems could be incorrectly fitted or faulty oil filter, stuck bypass in oil pump, or the wire has been dislodged or damaged off the oil sender
I got a 2007 chuanl
